I also purchased this 77mm UV filter for my new Canon lens. Works well!

The Canon 77mm Protector Filter is well made and provides protection for the front lens elements of several of my Canon L lenses. The threads perfectly match the threads of the lens front and goes on very smoothly, and the filter stays secure. The glass is clear and I have not noticed any effect on my photos. My Canon L lenses are moisture and dust resistant, but Canon does note that a lens filter must be used to complete this protection. I have no problem spending a few bucks to protect $2k lenses!

If you're using the Cokin system, it's a must-have if you have any lens with a 77mm filter.

Had one before, 77mm for a 18-200 canon, bought this one for a 17-55 2.8. As someone said before, why buy a 1000U$ lens and put cheap filter in front of it? This glass is very easy to clean. It comes in two sizes of rims, one thick and one thin. Be aware that you can not fix your lens cap on the thin one (or any other filter - there are no threads)

Extremely useful and made with quality. This 77mm UV filter by B+W works very well with the Canon 24-105mm lens, It fits perfect and does it's job. If you need a filter to protect your costly lens and want to get those eye-poping shots this filter is a must. You really can't go wrong.

I need to attach my Canon 50 1.4 lens to my 77mm polarizing filter for stopping video down enough to shoot with a shallow depth of field. This works perfectly.

I misstated the lens I use this filter for. It is the 77mm version. However, I do use this 82mm filter on my Canon 24-70mm F2.8L II lens, and have the same praise for it as I did with the other smaller filter.

Bought the Hoya 77mm NXT Plus UV filter for a new Canon RF lens. Fits perfectly on the lens with no loss of contrast or sharpness.

I used this to attach a 77mm neutral density filter to a 67mm canon lens. Worked as advertised.

I have used The Canon 250D and 500D Close-up lenses in the 77mm, 72mm and 58mm sizes with a number of lenses (Nikon & Fujinon mounts) and if you work with the limitations and parameters of this screw-on, somewhat heavy, filter-like attachment, and attach it to a very sharp lens, the results can be stunning. Unlike a macro lens, you are limited to a narrow focus range of just a few inches, so you cannot use it for macro and then turn and snap a photo of something 10 feet away without removing it. Another tip is that you can't stack it on top of another filter, as this moves the glass away from the front element of your lens and changes the optical formula. The 250D and the 500D cover different focal ranges, so be sure and get the one that is appropriate for your lens. This particular 52mm model, I use on my Zeiss Touit 32mm, mounted on my Fujifilm XE-2. (see pics)
