I use this for video with a Canon 7D. I am very saavy about the manual controls of the camera and lens. I got great shots in very low light (clubs) and outdoors during the day. I would reccomend this to anyone who knows a couple things about the Canon 7D's functions!! (thumbs up!!) BOKEH IS SUPERIOR!! NOt to mention PRICE!!! 5 |

The RC-6 is compatible with the Canon 7D even though the manual doesn't mention it. (The manual only mentions the RC-1 and RC-5.) To use with the 7D, change the drive mode to remote. You can then switch the RC-6 between immediate shutter release and 2 second delay with the little switch on the back. It even contains a nice little pouch (velcro closure) so you can string it to your camera strap so it's always with you. 5 |

i used this lens for video with my canon 7d the image looks sharp at f1.4 small dof very smooth manual focus ring for video its awesome... this lens is all manual so not for fast action photography but great for other projects its going to be on my camera all the time instead of my canon lenses because of the unique look of the f1.4 for a 35mm lens!!! 5 |

I was very upset with my new 7d images, very poor iq or image quality. after weeks of research and reading reviews I head my heart set on a new Canon 15-85 lens. So I spent hours trying different lenses from Canon, Sigma and Tamron. and walked out with this lens. it was the fastest on AF and the sharpest of all plus easier to see my adjustments in manual then all the rest. there's no manual focus in AF mode, plus limited range but the sharpest pictures I have been waiting for and expected from a two thousand dollar camera. I love my 7D now and the images from this lens hands down over all others in this price range, test your equipment before you by! 5 |
