I started my photography path years ago with the Canon AE-1 - loved that camera - now I shoot with the Canon EOS Mark lV - I love this camera and when I purchases lens I stick with Canon - after all who would play well with the body of the camera? Canon lens. While I was shooting pictures while on safari in Africa I had a 100-200 - and shot excellent pictures. With this I can have great detail and a better overall pic - it's not good to get to close the the lions and cheetahs - they are not appreciative of having their picture taken..... And one cannot outrun them and they climb trees.....

1 stop is the right amount for me.

For years I used a Canon AE-1 as my primary camera, then wanted to try some digital, so used a couple of Kodak digitals. I missed the ability to do macro photography, which is my favorite, so I recently purchased an Olympus Evolt E-510 and got this lens to go along with it. I was out shooting all weekend at botanical gardens and out in the desert, and can report that I am VERY pleased with this lens. I really liked the light weight of it, and, since I was shooting mainly outdoor shots in sunlight, the focus and response were perfect. I'm really pleased with this purchase and would heartily recommend it.

I shoot this film on my Canon AE-1, AE-1 Program, FT. This is very good budget film and it is a good feeling getting 36 exposures rather than 24. This film produces a nice color and at 400 it is suitable for most situations.

I love this adapter. I had an Canon AE-1 with every imaginable lens and filter. Then came the digital age and my lenses were no longer any good until I heard about B&H. I spoke with a very knowledgeable young man. I received my adapter and now my old lenses are very usable and I don't have to spend hundreds/thousands of dollars replacing them. I am now a very happy older person. Thank you B&H. I still have to work on lighting, focusing, etc. with this adapter but what a new challenge to have.

I initially hesitated to purchase this lens with my Canon 5D IV because of its modest price, but decided to give it a try because of the testimony of other photographers I trust. �My friends were right--I am very happy with the performance. �The AE chip helped confirm focus very accurately and reasonably fast, and the images I got were stunning. �They were extremely sharp and clean with a reasonable amount of distortion easily corrected with Lightroom. �I initially purchased the lens as an inexpensive way to get f/2.8 for astrophotography, but I am finding it performs well for an array of other wide angle applications--closeups , architectural photograph, etc. �I am sure the less expensive version of the lens, which is completely manual is good, but the extra expense of the AE chip seems to be worth it.

My Dad shot in his earlier years with a Canon AE-1 and an assortment of FD lenses. I need to get the camera back working, though the lenses are just fine. In the meantime, I bought this to use with my current main body--a Canon EOS R--and could not be happier with the chance to honor my Dad for first inspiring me to shoot!
