Canon Ae 1 Manual

I needed to purchase an old manual type camera for photography school and found a Canon AE 1 Program on @. However it came without lens caps. I emailed B&H for help and their excellent customer service not only told me which ones I needed but also had them in stock. I ordered and received them promptly all at a fantastic price! The caps fit perfectly and are now protecting my lenses!

Great quality film for my Canon AE-1 Program.

Most of all, I like the TV feauture. I like the fact that there are more manual controls other than automatic, like TV, AE, WB, Flash, ISO, etc. The resulting images are very sharp. The 12x optical zoom works great at close-up...the images look so real! I carry this camera everyday. I don't want to miss any rare oppurtunity to photograp birds, nature and other wildlife. I want to capture any interesting event while on the road. Excellent complement with my DSLRs (Canon's EOS 50D and 5D Mark II).

This lens has not left my camera since I bought it. I absolutely love it. At first I thought have a manual lens would be too daunting, but with the AE Chip, it's a piece of cake. This lens is perfect for anything; portraits, landscape, low light, you name it. Love, love, love it.

Just as described, great film for my Canon AE-1 program 35mm camera

I started my photography path years ago with the Canon AE-1 - loved that camera - now I shoot with the Canon EOS Mark lV - I love this camera and when I purchases lens I stick with Canon - after all who would play well with the body of the camera? Canon lens. While I was shooting pictures while on safari in Africa I had a 100-200 - and shot excellent pictures. With this I can have great detail and a better overall pic - it's not good to get to close the the lions and cheetahs - they are not appreciative of having their picture taken..... And one cannot outrun them and they climb trees.....

1 stop is the right amount for me.

For years I used a Canon AE-1 as my primary camera, then wanted to try some digital, so used a couple of Kodak digitals. I missed the ability to do macro photography, which is my favorite, so I recently purchased an Olympus Evolt E-510 and got this lens to go along with it. I was out shooting all weekend at botanical gardens and out in the desert, and can report that I am VERY pleased with this lens. I really liked the light weight of it, and, since I was shooting mainly outdoor shots in sunlight, the focus and response were perfect. I'm really pleased with this purchase and would heartily recommend it.

I shoot this film on my Canon AE-1, AE-1 Program, FT. This is very good budget film and it is a good feeling getting 36 exposures rather than 24. This film produces a nice color and at 400 it is suitable for most situations.
