SLR camera adapter for Canon EOS is a great item for all your astrophotography needs!

I like that it is orange, easy to see. I use it for my Canon EOS 60D to PC to use with backyardEOS for remote camera control while doing astrophotography. Great quality.

I use my Canon EOS xti for both daily use and astrophotography. I needed a way to easily remove the shoulder strap from the camera to reduce weight when attaching the camera to a telescope - THIS IS IT! I was concerned that the quick disconnect might do just that, disconnect, while the strap was attached to the camera, but this is not the case. The latch is solid and requires a little more effort to release the latch ensuring the required sense of security.

I purchased this adapter when I bought my M50 (body only) in May 2018. The Canon adapter was back ordered at the time and I wanted to get the M50 attached to my Sigma 24, 35, and 50 Art primes for astrophotography that summer/fall. The Vello adapter allows all lens EXIF data through, so I have capture settings for each frame. I think the tripod foot is a really smart design as it allows better balance when using the heavier Sigma Art lenses on a sidereal tracking device. The build is really sturdy, and the fit is tight on both camera and lens sides. Beside the astrophotography aspect, using the adapter with my other Sigma EX, Tokina, and Canon EF and EF-S mount lenses during daylight hours works better than I expected. Auto-focus, image stabilization, and aperture control all function extremely well with not a problem experienced for the past year. I'm very satisfied with this product; it makes the M50 my favorite daily use camera since I can use my existing and legacy lenses. I even use my old 35mm Olympus OM and Vivitar Series 1 zooms using Fotodiox OM-EOS lens mount adapters on the M50 for grins and giggles. A 50mm f/1.8 Zuiko film camera lens on the M50 makes for a pretty small portrait combo; I can dangle that off my neck all day long.

For taking astrophotography it is a must have if you do not have the option of extended shutter exposure on your camera.

I've had this camera 3 years now. I was surprised by the astrophotography performance.

Started to get into Astrophotography last year with my Canon M50 Mark ii but the kit lens left a lot to be desired.. Enter the EF-M 22mm f/2 lens..I picked it up "used", and the only thing I could tell that was used was the lens cap! This lens lets in SO much light from the night sky. I was able to get a faint Milky Way(Orion Arm) photo in a Bortle 5 sky which was very impressive to me. Hope to get some core shots this spring in a darker Southern sky. 10/10 recommend this lens, 11/10 if you get it used and save.

Used primarily on the Canon XSi for astrophotography. Idiot proof. Works everytime.
