Canon Camera Kit

Since it's a Canon battery, I have confidence that it will serve me well for several years as has the Canon battery I already have; I had an off-brand battery that came with a camera kit and over time I realized it was not holding its charge... I appreciate the price I paid for the new battery...a good value I think.

A Corvette with a 6 cylinder and a Canon with a kit lens. Both have great bodies but are under powered to reach their full potential. Fortunately, the 'Vette only had that dilemma until 1955. A very easy fix for the Canon...a 100mm EF USM Macro Lens. I will not bore you with a review...the previous 292 post have addressed that nicely. I bought a T1i in June (from B and H of course) and took many pictures of flowers and wildflowers using the close up mode with great results...I thought. I put together a Windows Movie Maker production, complete with music and got rave reviews from my email friends. Then it happened...I got my new lens. OMG! I have gone from a camera phone to a real camera. Now I GET to start all over with my projects. A rave for B and H. They are friendly, honest and have integrity. I actually paid for my lens,... Can you imagine doing that with a fly-by-night company? ... I think my story makes it clear that I love the lens and am a lifelong customer of B and H.

I have a Canon EOS Rebel T3i with a 1.6x crop factor, so 28mm is a normal lens for me. The 1855mm kit zoom lens gives me all the wide-to-normal range and most of the aperture that I'd want, but it's so light, and the camera body is so heavy, that I can't use it for shooting from the waist (a street photography technique that I've employed for years), because the camera flips up and aims into the air. Also, the markings on the kit lens don't indicate where to set a true-normal focal length. (Online photos of the lens show a dot on the zoom ring, but my lens doesn't have it.) And besides, there's a certain discipline involved in shooting with a fixed focal length. This lens is a teensy bit pricey, but having put it through its paces, I'd never part with it. Working with it is like working with my beloved old Minolta X-700, but with autofocus for when I'm shooting at very wide apertures. Everything is crisp and gorgeous, with no image or color distortion that I can see. On a recent trip out of town, I shot more than 900 frames in four days, and I'd say at least two-thirds of them were with this lens. The results, especially with a circular polarizing filter, were most satisfactory.

It is the perfect size and much more comfortable than I expected. It can hold my canon rebel t7 with 1 kit lens and the Fifty Nifty and still have a bit of room to spare. I particularly love the buckles that connect to straps over the camera compartment - more security for the camera.

I wanted a small camera bag to fit my Canon EOS M. This fit the bill perfectly. I carry the Camera 22mm kit lens, 50mm 1.8 MKII with Ef adaptor mounted to it. 2 xtra batteries and 3 xtra media cards, lens mount cap, rocket blower and lens cleaning rag all in this small bag. If you want to carry more stuff I suggest the F-5xb. If I want to carry a ton of gear than I would just carry my Canon 5D kit and a bunch of L-glass. I wanted a travel friendly take everywhere kit and this works great. If I have any negatives about the bag would say I do not like the zipper that opens the main compartment. I leave it unzipped most of the time.

I used to own this lens and couple of years ago before I sold it with Canon R camera as a part of the kit. While I own other RF lenses that cover the focal range of this lens I missed this lens for travel and long distance hikes. For most of my nature shots where you want all objects to be in focus I am using an aperture not higher than f4 anyway, and this lens is lighter and more compact then its f2.8 siblings.

Perfectly sized for a small photo or video camera kit. I use this for both my Canon C300 Mk3 and my Fuji GFX100s kits. NOTE: avoid the Pelican 1519 lid organizer. Very poor quality. Suggest third party or Pelican's Upgraded Lid Organizer

I purchased a second Canon LP-E17 lithium battery to have as a backup battery to the one that came with my camera kit so I will have little to no future down time in the field shooting pics. So far both batteries are working flawlessly. Thank you for sending an excellent product.
