Canon Camera Recorder

This new TASCAM Dr-70D audio recorder is the perfect mate to my new Canon 70D camera from Canon. They work flawless together. Someone really did heir homework on this audio recorder. The price was perfect from B&H as usual at Christmas time. If you need one of these recorders you won't go wrong or regret it I promise. The pre-amps are so quite and very clean. I hope to buy 2 more in the very near future. The service from B&H is unbeatable at any level. Thanks B&H for always being their we we need you. I can't find anything wrong with this unit at all.

Holds my camera, Video mic, Tascam Recorder, Canon battery charger, Watson battery charger, all of my SD cards, pens, highlighters, batteries, more batteries, cords, cables, lenses, ETC!! And there is still some room! This bag is great when you've got to get somewhere with most everything at once. It even has straps to hold your tripod! And I like the built in rain cover that tucks away out of sight when not in use.

I have a Canon DSLR and use it for video productions together with a Zoom H4N external audio recorder for optimal sound.I have always had problems placing the audio recorder in a good position or had to hold it myself together with the camera. Not optimal. With the Shoe adapter I can just mount it on top of my camera and have both sit on my tripod. Saved me a lot of hassle.

I'm using the microphone with my Canon 7D and a Zoom H4n recorder. I got a Rycote Universal Camera kit that includes a mount and windshield. I was very hesitant to buy a microphone at such a comperatively low price, since I know how important sound is and that it is better to invest in the best quality. I am very impressed, however, with the quality of sound I am getting. I know a sound expert will probably be able to tell me how much better a Sennheiser 416 is. But to most ordinary people, including me who have been doing professional camera work for years, the audio sounds, well, just great. The look and feel of the microphone speaks of quality. The length is also perfect for a DSLR and even on a wide lens, the microphone mounted on the camera's hot shoe does not get into shot.

This is a very affordable light weight tripod for use with light cameras. I will not use it for my Canon video recorder. I will use it mainly for road trips (flights) and for my monitor that goes with my Canon video recorder.

This is just what I was looking for. I have a Canon c100 with a Ninji Blade external recorder mounted on my shoulder rig and this cable works perfectly!
