Canon Digital Camera 2018

This camera was the one I had been waiting for 3 years. It is a significantly bigger impact in video than the a7III that came out in 2018. 10bit SLOG3 at 120fps opens up a whole new mode of filming. Continuous AF is even more reliable. I'm so tempted to sell my a7iii and a6500 and pick up another a7S3. I canceled my pre-order of the Canon R5 once the Canon cripple hammer (fake overheating) started. I need a minimalist production ready equipment, not spec queen.

I bought this camera in April 2018 along with the Canon underwater case designed to fit. I've taken loads of great pictures, including many great underwater pictures while on vacation. I get lots of compliments on my pictures. :-)

I use the on my Canon EOS M mirrorless digital camera works good. all is well.

I've had my PROGRAF PRO-1000 since 2018 and have always used canon ink and have always been happy.

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

Updating from a Canon 5D2 (2009) to the Canon R (2018) I could not use my existing TC-80N3 Timer Remote for time lapse work as the connectors are different. I used a Vello Wired ShutterBoss II but found its controls very finicky when compared to the ease of use with the TC-80N3. I prefer wired remotes so as to eliminate any problems with RF (Radio Frequency) interference on long time lapse shots.

I switched to RF mount lenses with my purchase of Canon R in 2018 and have been waiting to get this lens for my current R5 and arriving R5C camera. The build quality of or all L-line RF lenses is outstanding including this 100mm Macro lens. This lens is remarkably light and I bring it with me on hikes in nature and use it to capture minute details of flowers, leaves, and small living creatures. I have not found SA control dial to be useful so far, but I'll keep experimenting with it in different background and lighting scenes. The lens stabilization is great when shooting video hand-held. The image quality is beyond reproach and it along justifies owning this lens as a 100mm prime.

I've owned this adapter since 2018. It is of excellent quality and fits all of my Canon FD lenses. I've never had a problem with it.

I love this camera it is the best of the best for a digital camera.
