This was purchased to replace a Canon 50mm f/1.4. First thing to notice is a big step up in sharpness, as well as bulk and weight. Auto-focus is adequate for cat portraits as long as they are sitting still. There is a chance that auto-focus is not dead-on at first try, repeatedly half pressing shutter button appeared to zero-in on the focus point. When using 5D4 in-camera HDR mode, during the second of the three consecutive exposures, I received an error code stating camera failed to communicate with the lens. I have to dismount the lens to clear the error. This phenomenon is repeatable using this lens. However, my 14-24 f2.8 works fine in HDR mode. As a third party lens, this Sigma has the optical feature I want at a very reasonable price and limitations that I can live with. Good job Sigma ! 5 |

Another fine product from Canon. I know there are other solutions/products out there, but I am a firm believer in using matchec products 99% of the time. This remote switch fits snug and secure, has quick response, and works as it should. Simply press half way to focus, completely to take photo. Also has lock for longer exposures and use in bulb mode. 5 |
