Canon Digital Camera Grey

I use the on my Canon EOS M mirrorless digital camera works good. all is well.

I am a hobbyist. I shoot with a Rebel 400D. I recently bought the digital grey kard to improve my white balance. The card works great. I like that it is small and fits right in my pocket for quick retrieval.

just getting into digital. from my film days, i was always concerned about proper exposure. used the back of my hand as a grey card (worked pretty well). figured i should be more professional. tried both the the grey and white card for exposure and white balance and they were dead on. now i don't have people asking me why i'm taking a picture of the back of my hand. worth the money to me.

These digital grey cards are great for setting a custom white balance in todays digital cameras. I use a lot of specialty filters for astrophotography and these cards correct my WB making image processing much easier.

I still use the Zone system for exposure and compensation in digital. I adjust in thirds for highlights (EV+2.0 - +3.0). A dogeared Kodak 8X10 18% neutral grey card was my Zone 5 standard (Pentax digital spotmeter with Zone VI Studio sticker). I found my pricey X-Rite Passport too small so I purchased the mid size Lastolite. Identical middle grey readings against the old Kodak card with in-camera spot metering. Folds to just under 8 and featherweight. Attach its zippered bag to my belt through the hand strap. Good value!

For years I used a Canon AE-1 as my primary camera, then wanted to try some digital, so used a couple of Kodak digitals. I missed the ability to do macro photography, which is my favorite, so I recently purchased an Olympus Evolt E-510 and got this lens to go along with it. I was out shooting all weekend at botanical gardens and out in the desert, and can report that I am VERY pleased with this lens. I really liked the light weight of it, and, since I was shooting mainly outdoor shots in sunlight, the focus and response were perfect. I'm really pleased with this purchase and would heartily recommend it.
