Canon Digital Camera Photo Viewer Software

I can't pay any higher praise on this camera than, I bought it again. Besides the really long optical zoom, I love the flip-out back viewer. I use the flip-out back almost exclusively. The viewer eye piece works fine, but I am more comfortable not looking through the camera. I like to twist the back viewer for high and low-angle shots. That is something a camera with a built-in view back can not do. I will sorely miss this camera when I can no longer buy another. The camera is choke full of other nifty features, but I am mostly a point-n-shoot photographer. In manual-mode, I got some great eclipse shots (lunar and solar) using a tripod for stability. Canon has somewhat recently added a phone app that allows remote control of the camera and remote downloads to the phone memory card. I really am digging those feature, too. Since Canon has not made a replacement camera in this line, I have to assume they are not developing this line any further. I think I should buy still another and just store it away until I wear out this new one. 5 |

I am very happy with the results I'm getting with Platinum paper. I am using a Canon printer with Canon ink and Canon software, but I'm sure the results would be great with most photo printers. The colors are very rich, contrasting, and leaves an almost wet look. The sheen is great for fine art. In a brighter room I tend to lean more towards Luster to cut reflections but other than that this is my go to! I have it in 13 x 19 as well that I use primarily for landscapes with beautiful results 5 |

I am in the process of digitizing photos. I did not want to wear out my combination printer/scanner so I purchased this Canon scanner for photo duty. My printer/scanner is a Canon so the software integrates with both with no problems. One thing that is a huge benefit with the Canon software is it will automatically crop the photos when they are scanned...depending on the physical size of the photos, put as many as possible on the flatbed (there must be some space between for proper cropping) and the software will automatically crop the individual pictures. This is a huge time saver. I have already scanned close to two hundred photos and have several hundred more to go. I am confident that the LIDE300 will continue the job. There are other types of photo scanners that are more proficient but this model is by far the most economical. Scanning time is quick. By the time I get the next batch out of the album, the scan is done. 5 |

I own a Canon xl2 and gl2 and just picked up one a canon hf s10 and want to say that the video quality is amazing for such a small camera and should be considered a prosumer camera. I am still getting used to its weight, it almost feels like nothing in my hands being used to heavier cameras. This is not for live video feeds without purchasing expensive hardware as the cpu recognizes it only as a memory device. Aftermarket batteries and lenses are fairly inexpensive compared to oem products. If recording in 24p make sure your software will import correctly. The internal stabilization feature kinda makes the software stabilization look weird. So use only one, either software or built in camera. Do your homework on this product if using for pro work 5 |
