Canon Digital Camera Remote Capture

The ML-L3 Remote Control has allowed me to capture images in low or lower light situations that before were compromised by camera shake. What a difference this simple device makes! My understanding is that it will both focus and then release the shutter althought I am still working with this aspect. At this point I am simply focusing through the view finder and then releasing the shutter with the remote. As mentioned in other reviews, the sensor for the remote in on the front of the camera rather than the back. This is nota problem once you know where to hold the remote.

I use this to tether my camera to a computer for digital image capture. This is hands down the best tether on the market.

Camera, media, and light; are like a hammer, wood, and nails. Moving to digital capture, computer mediums, and LEDS is a perfect pairing.

I used this during the recent eclipse to shoot intervals every 5 minutes so i could capture all the phases of the eclipse (had to move the camera manually) and then as a remote shutter during the actual eclipse so I could shoot like crazy. So far, I have been very pleased with it.

I am using this remote with a Nikon d7000 and it does exactly what it should, trigger the camera from either the front or the rear and capture based on what is programmed in the camera. This is different than my MC-36 remote used with my d200 where the timing is controlled on the remote and not in the camera. Easy to use and has a 30 foot range.

I had a wired remote that kept me tethered to the camera. This wireless (RF) remote with it's terrific range let's me capture those wary birds with me out of their sight. Not the slightest camera shake with hands off operation.
