After consulting with the best camera store in Charlottesville (Pro Camera) on how to find a replacement lamp for my ancient Kodak slide projector, they recommended looking online for possible sources. I wish it weighed a bit less, but the protection it offers is unbeatable, so I can't complain.

Be smart, buy the insurance... I'm so thankful that I bought the Canon Carepak (and NEEDED IT!!) I was visiting with a camera store and asked them to tell me a story to comfort me (you see, my camera and lens took a spill that required repairs and thankfully I had the Canon Carepak!! They were awesome!) Anyway, the guy that worked at the camera store told me a story about a guy who bought a new camera and $12K worth of lenses. HE TRIED TO SELL HIM THE CANON CAREPAK but the buyer declined. OH what a mistake he made, he found out when he went to the Grand Canyon... Somehow.... His 12k worth of gear (and I think camera) took a DIVE INTO THE GRAND CANYON!!! OUCH!! Ok, ok, you get the picture. So, he learned the hard way for sure. I've learned, buy the warrantee when it comes to camera gear.
