Canon Digital Camera With Viewfinder 2015

Great entry digital SLR camera with bright viewfinder and full manual control for students of photography. I added a Cannon 40mm 2.8 for point and shoot. But a beginner should add a 50mm prime lens IMO. Get the bulb cable for long exposures for maximum creativity. I have found manual focus useless compared to my film cameras, the autofocus just works.

Love everything about this camera. From a traditional DSLR user I was not expecting to like this so much, the hardest thing to get used to is the digital viewfinder, but after some use I realize it is more useful. This camera packs a punch and is versatile as well. A few adapters and I'm using lenses from my old 35mm cameras that haven't seen use in years. Overall great experience

I suggest that the Canon EOS C100/200/300 are the best overall cinema cameras you can buy. The menu system is extremely well thought out and easy to navigate once you get used to it (I've had Sony and Panasonic cameras for years that I never ever fully figured out, though the BlackMagic menus are crazy simple to learn). Also, the camera is very light and easy to handle, so there's no problem adding accessories. I specifically wanted the C200B because it is slightly stripped down with the deletion of the viewfinder, and it is just small enough to use on a gimbal, while still being a fully fleshed out proper cinema camera. Actually, I bought the regular C200 as well, and side-by-side I wish I got the a second C200B. The viewfinder is a bit much for something I rarely use and I didn't know how much I appreciated NOT having it until I started using this version.

Great little camera for its size and prize. The viewfinder and usual Canon control knob on top are what I like over the M100.

One super little brick of a camera. Always wondered why pros favored this Canon G series camera. Have tried the Nikon P7000 and returned it. Nice, but nothing like the G12. You simply have to use the G12 to believe it. Hey, it's not a DSLR. It's a P&S and that has to be remembered. Can't understand how people shoot in bright sunlight with a P&S camera. Love the G12's very comfortable viewfinder. Also have the Canon 780 IS and even use that tiny little viewfinder in sunlight. Unfortunately Canon abandoned the viewfinder on the next upgrade of that camera. Please Canon at least keep the viewfinder on your G series P&S cameras.

I attached the GV-1 External Viewfinder by Ricoh to my Ricoh GR's hot shoe and it fit perfectly. It is very stable and is removable when you want the hot shoe for something else, or just want the bare camera. It presents a great alternative viewfinder to the camera's picture display, especially when lighting conditions render it difficult to view. My husband loves the external viewfinder because he doesn't have to put on his glasses to see the view when he is taking pictures. I highly recommend the GV-1!

I use this with my 4x5 field camera. It is very handy and I can see clearly through my viewfinder on the back of the camera.

This chamois eyepiece has really made looking through my cine camera viewfinder much better.
