Canon Digital Photo Professional Vs Adobe Camera Raw

While digital technologies continue to be perfected with professional camera use and their widespread applications, the latest Sony RX1RII fixed Zeiss lens camera (other cameras allow long-lens variants) exceeds expectations, especially when printing work on a large scale (with the Epson Stylus Pro 9900). While some relatively minor imperfections exist as with all cameras that professionals adjust to, the expansive quality of color, remarkable low-light resolution, extraordinary image quality and virtual unlimited visual potentials provide challenges that move into unchartered territory for artists (see attached site-specific photographic installation of 112x152cm prints). The most problematic issue is not Sony's: Adobe Photoshop has abandoned the long supporting professional community by not making a plug-in for this camera's RAW files (ARW in Sony terms). Two alternatives: 1) join the CC monthly feed of Adobe Photoshop (APS), abandoning the experienced professional use of all former Photoshop versions, or 2) for 99$ purchase the most basic APS Elements software that notes the Sony RX1RII RAW files are supported, at least noted in Elements literature. What a way to treat loyal professionals and Sony over the years, claiming that CC is better without meaningful details justifying the obvious money first, customer second policy for purchasing the CC version. Not mentioning inevitable future rises in CC prices, non-copyright protections in-Cloud, and not allowing printing in your studio with your own APS, even when CC RAW is tiff converted. Sony's RX1RII with Zeiss lens and its internal digital processor chip is remarkable for what the eye can see (numerous professional digital cameras now exceed what can be seen without mention), even with the rare if not unprecedented 600$ additional cost recently by Sony. 5 |

Affinity Photo 2 Reads and Edits A7RV RAW Files while Adobe ACR has not been yet updated for A7RV. I have been using Affinity Photo for over a year and find it to be a very capable product (after learning curve). Requires version 2 for A7RV RAW files. 5 |

I reluctantly sold my Canon XH-A1 camcorder as I no longer am filming professional quality. Yet I wanted an HD camera. Upon discovery of the Canon Vixia HF200 I was impressed with the features - and bought one. Most shocking was the small size (am used ot the larger Sony and Canon camcorders). But what a convenience! I now take it with me everywhere - without the large camera bag and accessories. Most importantly, the picture/video quality is outstanding. The features such as headphone jack and external mic were typically found only on professional cameras - features that are a 'must' if you want good sound.Editing AVCHD is tricky. My Adobe Premiere CS3 does not process AVCHD; I used Roxio (Creator 2010) to edit and create a short film. I also used Roxio 2010 to convert it to WMV, but the software stumbled/froze and gave me fits. It did ultimately work, though.I plan to purchase Adobe Premiere Elements 8 to edit in the future. Thanks to many other reviewers for their comments; those were valuable in helping me select the Canon HF200. ... 5 |

If you use the white balance tool (eyedropper) in Lightroom and/or Adobe Camera RAW you will love this white balance card! 5 |

I just received the updates for Adobe Camera Raw and used it to edit a test shot that had spectral highlights and dark areas. There is plenty of headroom in the GH6 RAW files to correct those issues and retain detail. There was some noise at 1/40s and ISO 400, but easily mitigated in Camera Raw. I have a G9 that I love and decided to go with an all-Lumix kit after accumulating a set of Micro Four Thirds lenses. I am happy with my decision. 5 |

Camera and features work perfectly. I am however having a problem editing raw files (srw) using Adobe elements 10. I am sure I will work it out. Other wise extremely happy with the camera, 50-200 lens and sef 20A flash. 5 |

I mounted the lens on a Sony A-7R iii. The lens was very sharp in the center and maintained that sharpness except at the extreme edges if you were shooting a scene in the landscape mode. At 100%, the edges looked reasonably sharp but upon blowing the image up a bit more, I could see some fall-off. However, adding some additional sharpness at the extreme edges was easy with the adjustment brush in Adobe Camera Raw. Contrast and color renditions were excellent and I didn't find vignetting to be an issue at the time of day I was doing my tests. I chose mid-afternoon because I wanted to do my test shots in strong light. I know there can be some vignetting with this lens in lower light situations but that is also an easy fix in Adobe Camera Raw. In sum, this is a very fine lens and the slight fall-off in sharpness at the extreme edges was not a deal breaker for me, particularly at its price. 5 |

adobe camera raw still does not have a correction profile for this as of september 2020. Hopefully they update it soon. Otherwise a stellar value for the zoom range offered. 5 |

Anyone who is doing photo processing will value from this computer. I shoot RAW with a 50mega pixie Canon 5Ds making large files. The only function for this computer will be to run Adobe LR, PS and some other plugins for processing only. I selected the 3.5GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon processor, 32 GB RAM, 1TB storage model and will connect it to. Ben Q SW271 27in monitor. Combined with the rapid delivery and the great shopping experience I could not be happier. 5 |
