Canon Digital Video Cameras

Seamless, clean digital video. I am very happy with the outcome of these cameras.

I've had 10 different digital cameras. I've done professional video and stills throughout my working life. My G9II (and Gh6) is the best camera I've ever used. The AF on the G9II for BIF and sports is extremely good. The video is a professional grade documentary or B roll cinema camera. Pair it with Panasonic PL grade lenses and it becomes a tool with which you can do your best work. The handheld hires is amazing.

I have these on my 2 digital cameras so I can switch between a long or short strap. Depending on what I am doing. I have a small video that I ordered these for, so I can use these same straps. Works great! Just clip and unclip.

I have been using Pentax digital cameras for 5 years now. I have own and use a Pentax *ist DL, K-x, two K-200D's and now a K-7. I have enjoyed every Pentax camera I have, but the K-7 is truly an artist's camera. Removed of superfluous gimmicks, the K-7 is incredibly versatile and with configurable options and architecture for getting exactly the shot you want. The pictures, especially compared to Canon and Nikon are much sharper, are accepted and edited will in Aperture in RAW format and produce excellent prints and other digital media. The video is excellent and in many ways surpasses other DSLR video I have seen. As with many, it is less than idea in very low light, but does competitively well. The battery grip by Pentax is overpriced in my opinion but still a good option and makes the camera much more ergonomic for the grip. Consider a third party battery grip of good quality. Haven't found anything that is remotely a functional or performance deal breaker with this camera. Great quality build and body, great functionality and superior images. instantly my favorite camera to use.

I have owned many digital cameras, and even some film cameras. Yes, I am that old. I have to say that the G7 is the best bang for the buck out of all of them. Amazing image quality, and stunning video. The 4K video alone is worth the price of admission. Add to that a very capable still camera, and it is a solid package. Good ergonomic, menu system, great articulated display and the viewfinder is bright and sharp. Sure, it's a bit plasticy. And it has a 30 minute video limit unlike its big brother. No Vlog, or some of the high frame rate modes either. For the price however, I don't think anything comes close.

I use this, coupled with an analog to digital converter, to record the output of my old consumer video cameras for my YouTube channel. Yes, it's overkill, but it makes recording video from old cameras fun and hassle free. Once I have the files recorded, I can easily transfer them right away into my computer for editing purposes. You will also need to purchase a BlackMagic analog to digital converter to go with this. The BMD Video Assist is the the Swiss Army Knife of video recorders! My only regret was not getting the 12G model.

4K images from small chip cameras tend to have the digital sharpness video look. This filter helps eliminate this effect and helps create a much more cinematic image.
