Canon Efs 17 55

I put this lens hood on my Canon EFS 17-55 mm lens. It worked great. Clipped on smoothly and securely. It did not crop my view even at 17mm focal length. This is exactly how a lens hood should be. I initially bought (and returned) the Vello EW-83J. The Vello hood did not clip on properly and cropped my view at 17mm. The canon hood is pricey but you get what you pay for.

This is my first L seris lens and its was more exepencvive than the 4 other lenses (EFS 17-55, EF 28-135 IS USM, EF 70-300 USM, EF 50 F 1.8) i own put to gether. But sure enough it's better than all my other lenses by leaps. Color, and clarity of pictures are superb.. it is a great portrait lens.. It is a little heavy combined with the EX 580.. but with the F2.8 u can often leave the speed light off the camera. I also like that it came with case and hood, wish it came with filter too

I purchased the speedlite after taking many pictures with the built in flash on my Canon 60D. While using my EFS 17-55mm lens, I would get a shadow. Now with the speedlite and diffuser that is never an issue. I highly recommend both.

I am using the ET-60 lens hood on the Canon EFS 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens and it works perfectly. The lens, with the hood in its storage position on the lens, also fits nicely into the Lowpro 2S lens case. The ET-60 will also fit on the kit 18-55mm lens but is visible in the viewfinder at the wide angle end of the zoom range.
