Being a nature macro-photographer,I wanted a dedicated macro lens. When I read the glowing reviews of this new Canon,f 2.8, IS 100mm macro lens, I purchased one this week. I shot quite a few photos in the yard of flowers, butterflies, and scenes with this lens and my reliable 6 year old EOS 10D camera. The results were very good, but not as good as I wanted; as it became obvious that overall clarity was being limited by the 10D's 6.3 MP sensor. I had anticipated such would be the case before the lens purchase. The post-production cropping was limited by the sensor size too.. I switched to AI servo mode on the camera, as the directions with the lens suggested, and this helped somewhat with the clarity of images. Even with the IS on, extreme closeups would likely be helped by using a monopod or tripod. Overall, I am delighted with this lens's quality , but to use it to its full potential means that I'm now going to purchase a Canon EOS 7D body. This should be superb combo for me for years to come. 5 |

I've always used a filter on my SLR lenses so when I got my brand new Canon EOS digital SLR I was surprised that the color of the first few shots was off. Then I remembered the filter. All good now!!! 5 |

I use this on a fairly large digital SLR. I was afraid the lens would be too large for the opening but it fit just fine. Without this strap the camera points down at an uncomfortable angle - the strap holds it straight and against my body so it's a lot more secure and more comfortable to carry. I'm a little worried that the extra strap around my body might be hot in the summer, but it will be worth it if the camera is more secure. However, it does have a certain dork look about it, sort of like a pocket protector. 5 |

I use this filter with my Carl Zeiss 50 mm f/1.4 Planar and Canon EOS 10D. I am extremely happy to see the results. This filter works as advertised. Also, its Made in Germany. 5 |

I recently bought this case to hose one of my SLR cameras(Canon EOS rebel TI). I put the camera in the case as shown in the pictures and found that i did not like the pressure that was felt closing the lid. Instead, I took the lens off the camera and laid it on it's back. I also made a place for the lens and 3 (three) spare rolls of film. the lid closes much easier in I am pleased with the results. I will be buying another case for my Rebel T3. I will buy a bigger case for my AE1-Program, lenses, and flash units. 5 |

After shooting Canon for 16 years, I sold my EOS SLR along with all my lenses in-order to get this camera. I'm not going to reiterate all the superlatives and instead recommend this camera to anyone who shoots at least 50% of their work in video. 5 |

30 plus years of being a Canon SLR owner and aside from the EOS 3 film camera, this is the best thus far. I am very pleased at being back to a full frame image sensor for several reasons, some of which are improved low light performance, less digital noise at higher ISOs, and more tonal range within shadows and highlights, making detail and color much improved at both ends of the spectrum. 5 |
