I have used another DSLR camera a well known name brand and I was leary at first on getting the Canon EOS Rebel T5 package. I have a Canon EOS Rebel Xt with an EFS 18-55mm lens; the cover fits perfectly. Just came back from Florida; was able to place the cover on the camera and throw it in my backpack without any harm to the camera.
