With the new firmware update for the 5D Mark III which came out on 10/30/13 I can now use this teleconverter on my 100-400mm without losing autofocus. Granted, it's only with the center cross focusing mode, but it's better than no autofocus. I knew I'd only get f/8 at the 400mm end. I also expect my set-up to autofocus a bit slower as well, but the 100-400 is a slow focuser anyway. Just received it today from B&H and only took a couple test shots out the door 'cause of weather. 5 |

I connected my Canon 5D Mk IV (had to update firmware first) to my MacBook Air (M1), and ran the Canon EOS Utility for tethered shooting. Works great! When in portrait orientation, I use the RRS Cable Relief Spacer attached to the L-bracket, to provide clearance for the cable. 5 |

The receiver works great. I did not expect to have to upgrade the firmware of my 5D Mark III, but did in order to get this to work. Once done, works perfectly. Love the enhanced EXIF data ;) Wish it were slightly smaller, but there's no getting around that. It does have an extension cable so you can leave the receiver on your belt clip. 5 |
