Canon G9 Digital Camera

This is a 2 piece shield that will cover the screen and the digital display on the top right of the Lukix G9 Camera body. Very easy to install and perfect fit. This screen does not interfere in anyway with the touch screen function. I highly recommend this product.

We owned PowerShot G9. I think that G12 is so much better. By putting a special bottom for over and under exposure it is almost equal to manual exposure control in much simpler way. Canon has put more controls in bottoms instead of menus. It is much quicker to use them when you become use to them. Another example is a second bottom to control speed/exposure. I think it was very wise to lower the megapixels count. The pictures are so much better. I have a Canon 5D Mark II. My wife and I have the G12 to take snapshots of family, mostly flash pictures using the one which is in the camera. G12 makes it possible to take pictures in low light with flash and long exposure so the surroundings can be seen. (It is difficult to do it handheld without a support and the white balance is set on the flash and the lights are usually with warmer colour.) If one can held the camera steady I think is nice. On usually has a lot of pictures of same persons and the most important difference is the different surroundings. My friend is not very keen photographer but wanted to own expensive cameras like the EOS 5D. After my advice he bought G11 and is more satisfied with it than he was with the old EOS 5D. He likes the possibility to take panorama pictures where he can see part of the first picture when he takes the second one. The reason why we bought PhowerShot G9 was the possibility to shoot RAW. The picture from G12 are so much better. It is a camera simple enough for beginners and advanced enough to be a second camera for more advanced photographer or to be a steppingstone towards SLR.

I am using this great Canon SL1 DSLR to learn photography. Having used a Canon G9 for over 5 years I wanted a camera whose lens I could change and whose settings I could manipulate to get that perfect shot. The Canon SL1 meets that criteria and more. The camera is small, portable, and light weight. Most importantly, it takes a great photograph. I would high recommend it.

I use this strap on a Canon G9. It is far more comfortable and easier to use than both the neck strap that came with the camera and a different wrist strap I bought because it was available that was thinner, narrower and didn't feel as secure.

Wedded to my Canon Powershot G9, the Hoya RM72 59mm filter produces truly real infrared pictures. The union of the 58mm filter, the Canon adaptor, and the G9 camera produces images that look like real infrared developed film, and the G9 does this without the hot spot in the center of the image like some other digital camera/lens combinations. The filter requires the Canon lens adaptor, LA-DC58H Lens Adapter (or deneric equivalent), which is threaded to 58mm filter and designed to fit over its extending lense. To see examples of this camera's pictures, bth alone and in combination with the Hoya R72, @. With infrared, you definitely see things in a different light. Highly recommended!-Steve Burt

I recently acquired a Canon G9 camera, and the original strap was pretty frazzled. The SmallRig strap is perfect for such cameras! Camera is easy to carry and the strap is comfortable. Great value!
