Canon Ixus 240 Hs

good cable works as it should with Canon SX70 HS

I bought this for a Canon Power Shot SX720 HS and it fits very well and I am really glad I have it on my camera.

I bought this hood for my Canon RF 24-240, because, not being an L lens, the 24-240 does not come with a hood, and I just feel naked using a lens without a hood. The Canon hood, not available at the time of this review, is over twice as expensive. As far as I can tell there is no vignetting even with a UV filter attached to the front of the lens. The snap on / pull off feature seems to work just fine. The Canon lens cap fits just fine too. I noticed that there are threads on the inside of the hood, so it is possible to screw a filter either between the lens and the hood or inside the hood itself. And because it is a screw-on hood, it should be possible to put either a variable ND or circular polarizer between the lens and the hood and then rotate both the filter and hood as a single unit (I couldn't try this because my filters are 77 and 82 mm.), although with the additional thickness of the filter, there might be a little vignetting. All things considered I don't see any reason to buy the Canon hood instead of this one.

This is my go to media for my photographic prints. The Canon profiles are solid, the 240 gsm thickness makes it easy to mount to foam core and it has just been a stellar paper to work with.

Shooting this with a Canon EOS R and a control ring adapter. Flawless operation. It seems way above average to me in sharpness and operation quality. It's not a prime - but it's not meant to be. I am getting beautiful results with my artistic photography and couldn't be more pleased. Canon's 240-240 doesn't work with multiple exposure and forced me to look around for a third party lens. I'm glad they did - this is better range and from what I've seen - better quality.

Just tried my Canon 70-200 f2.8 L telephoto lens on my Leica M-P (Typ 240) and it works!

Great fitting lens shade. Got this for my Canon RF 24-240 lens. (Looks like Canon is no longer including lens shades with lenses.) The Vellos goes on very smoothly & locks into place. Has a lock release tab on the side of the lens shade. Very nice idea. Now it cannot rotate if you hit the shade.

This is a great paper. While I love the surface of this paper, it is more mat in quality than canon's 240 gsm satin. Thus the density of the blacks needs to be looked at if you're used to that other type of paper. Its whiteness is definitely pure. Nice and bright, and not too cool.

Use with Canon EOS R and Canon RF 24-240 lens. Holds the weight of the camera well, maneuvering is smooth.

Purchased a new Canon 24-240 lens but just couldn't bring myself to pay the absurd price for the Canon lens hood. The Vello hood fits perfectly, looks good and helps protect the lens from bumps and scrapes. I have a nimber of other Vello dedicated lens hoods for my many Canon lenses and have always been happy with quality. Highly Recommended!
