Canon Ixus 40 Digital Camera

I have used Hoya filterss for 40 years and had no problem buying them for my new digital camera.They are much better than cheaper filters that can cause distortion in your photographs. I have also purchased equipment from B&H since 1989 and never had a problem with any of my purchases.

I've been a professional photojournalist for 40 years, used all the top-of -the-line models from both Nikon (limited to film) and Canon (up to the 1D Mark IV). With few exceptions, such as needing a very long, 300mm or more, at f/2.8, lens, this camera can shoot ANY assignment a photojournalist is handed and do it with an image quality equaling or surpassing a top of the line full size DSLR. It has a learning curve you must master, but so does every high-end digital camera. After 40 years shooting, having a camera of such immense capability, stunning image quality and in size and weight equivalent to large bar of soap, can't be beat. If you're a veteran shooter, remember the size and quality of the Leica rangefinders. This camera is on par with the Leica and easily meets the requirements, and in many instance, surpasses the uses of a D5 or 1Dx. Think: small, unobtrusive, amateur-looking to the common folk and able to produce a stunning, high quality digital file. If you , like me, are at the point where you where to point your camera, and need not sport a huge DSLR with a equally large zoom, buy this camera. You will achieve what you see' by using this highly advanced digital camera.

Great for my Canon HV-40

Fits on your belt and can carry a camera the size of a Canon 50D with a 40 mm pancake lense.

used in an fs 40 canon camera, came with a usable charge on it but i charged it anyway and it seems fine, don't know what the life will be since the camera has not seen a lot of use yet and it will be a spare, price was definitely right and it fits properly.

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.
