Canon Kids Digital Camera

I upgraded from a Digital Rebel XTi ,which i love. i take alot of pictures of my kids in sports so this camera will make itself useful when that time comes. it also on creative mode has live view which is really cool! i have to admit i have alot to learn about this camera but know i am going to use it to its fullest capacity!

I bought this camera to replace a pocket digital camera. Main intent is to photograph kids' and family activities. Ideally suited for this purpose.

I use the on my Canon EOS M mirrorless digital camera works good. all is well.

We are using this for canded digital shots. We used it to take shots of kids playing in a playground without disturbing their concentration... as well as for out door sporting events. The lens was fast and.. although it was an overcast day.. it let in enough light to produce wonderful color with no harsh shadows. Althought we have only had it a couple of weeks.. I can tell this will be one of our highest used lenses.

I previously had a Canon Power Shot camera, and was long overdue in getting a DSLR to take better pictures of my kids and family. I wanted a camera that would allow me to take up-close shots of my kids playing basketball, soccer, running cross country, etc. I did extensive research for weeks, looking at ALL brands and various pricepoints, and ultimately decided on the Pentax K-x. Well, on my very first two outings - the first a CC meet, and the 2nd a soccer game, I came back with dynamite photos of my kids, using the 55-300 lens that came in the package. I was able to simply hold the camera by hand (I have since bought a monopod) and take breathtakingly clear, colorful shots. I also wanted a camera that would do well in low light, as I like to take a lot of indoor shots of the kids at birthdays, etc., and thus far have been very pleased with the results. Overall, I think the Pentax K-x is an excellent buy for the $$$.

I have an older Canon MiniDV camcorder that we still use to shoot video of the kids, however, the original batteries stopped holding a charge and the two Duracell camera batteries I bought to replace them didn't fare much better. This battery was less expensive than many replacements I've found and once it's charged, it lasts a very long time...probably the last battery we'll need for this camera.

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

Printer was very easy to setup and is connected to all our digital devices. We have printed work documents, kids projects and photos.

I bought this recently to scan childhood photos of my kids from the pre-digital days. It's perfect for the task. The Canon IJ Scan Utility senses the photo size and crops the images perfectly. It was easy to set up and I've already scanned hundreds of photos. Highly recommend.
