Using this attached to a Canon 70-200is II L lens adds the extra reach needed for nature photography while maintaining IQ. Have produced really sharp images using a canon eos 5d mark ii at 2500 iso hand held. Bought this for my canon 5D Mark II camera, and chose the Canon brand over other less expensive 3rd party brands due to its solid construction and locking connector. I'm using this mainly for HD video timelapse. A common complaint with many users of this brand and others is that there is no power on/off switch. So far, not an issue for me, however.
