Canon Mirrorless Camera Capture Northern Lights

I bought this to use on a trip to Iceland to capture the northern lights, and it worked perfectly, even at sub-zero temps! I found the settings to be slightly confusing to set at first, but after a few exposures I got the hang of it.

I photograph the Northern Lights using a gimbal mount on a tripod. This means the camera is always in the horizontal position and that's very limiting. This rotating mount works perfectly. It's sturdy. All my Canon lenses fit. I can change rotation fast to compose images of rapidly-changing Northern Lights. I love it. Which I had it 10 years ago.

After a near fiasco on a beach at 3:00 AM in Norway, shooting the Northern Lights on the only night of the trip that they appeared, I will NEVER use a third Party camera battery again. I only use the camera manufacturer's batteries. Trust me on this one! And Sony makes the best!

I bought the lens to use on a trip to Patagonia and for Northern Lights next fall.  When I first put it on my camera I didnt think the focus was working.  But it does and so quiet, great feel, a bit heavy but it operates so nicely.  My first Sigma lens and I am glad I picked this instead of the 14-24mm Nikon lens.

Unboxed it while out for the Northern Lights show that hit the US , put it on the camera (7D MkII) and it worked perfectly.. Had tripod set up, outside, and sat inside my car, randomly taking photos, Walked a good distance from it, with the antenna up, and still had no issues reaching the receiver. Great little unit, and will come in handy in the future, love being wireless!

This is my second Pearstone Micro-HDMI to HDMI cable that I use to capture video with my Canon Mirrorless cameras (Canon R7 and Canon R6 Mark II). They work well with low latency.

Great lens! I use this lens for portraits, and taking pictures of the Northern Lights, and other low light situations.

Purchased this after try to capture a picture of the Christmas Star. Have a return trip to Alaska and hope this will help in the capture of the Northern Lights! So glad I found this for my needs. This will also be great for times our power goes out at night. No fumbling with the flash light as I try to do things with both hands.

I wanted an extra standard plate for my second mirrorless camera body, to use with the Peak Design Capture. The plate can be left on my camera all the time since it also works as a quick release plate for my Arca-Swiss compatible tripod heads. Very convenient, and it's also small and low profile, so it feels like it's not even attached to the camera.
