[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set up the Canon imageFORMULA RS40 photo and document scanner. I was real nervous at first cause I am not very good with these office electronics. But I had it up and running within a half hour. The software is unbelievable, it enhances the photos with a auto photo fixer tool and stores the photos I n a digital file . Besides that fact it is simple to install the quality of the scanner is awesome, it will skip the blank pages for you, even scans double sided documents with only one pass , no need to scan both sides. From scanning photos to documents this Canon image scanner totally awesome, I highly recommend this to all my friends , family and employees

The scan quality for photos is excellent too - a great way to digitize hard copy photos for long-term storage!

I am in the process of digitizing photos. I did not want to wear out my combination printer/scanner so I purchased this Canon scanner for photo duty. My printer/scanner is a Canon so the software integrates with both with no problems. One thing that is a huge benefit with the Canon software is it will automatically crop the photos when they are scanned...depending on the physical size of the photos, put as many as possible on the flatbed (there must be some space between for proper cropping) and the software will automatically crop the individual pictures. This is a huge time saver. I have already scanned close to two hundred photos and have several hundred more to go. I am confident that the LIDE300 will continue the job. There are other types of photo scanners that are more proficient but this model is by far the most economical. Scanning time is quick. By the time I get the next batch out of the album, the scan is done.

Love the feature to clean up backgrounds and fill in scratches and marks on old photographs. Converting old negatives into photos is quite good with clarity better than I expected. Great product for home or light commercial use.

Excellent photo scanner, copact and great 1 cord design

I use the Perfection V600 Photo Scanner to scan photos, documents, stamp collection, coin collection & to restore color to old photos. So far it has to be one of the finest scanners I have used to this date. I like the fact that there is no warm up time and is fast and color is very accurate. Epson makes good products. I own their R2880 & Artisan 50 Ink Jet Printers.. Very Happy With All Items To Date..
