Canon Pixma Scanner Software

I purchased this ink set for my Canon Pixma MX882 combination scanner, fax, and printer. This ink was developed for use with this printer and it works well. However, I wish the cartridges were larger so that I wouldn't run out of ink so often. 5 |

I have used this scanner, and its nearly identical predecessor DR-4010C for nearly 20 years. It is heavy duty and reliable, with no issues or problems. After closing my law office, I scanned and converted several hundred boxes of client files to PDF computer files, before shredding all the paper. This scanner easily processed everything, and more, and continues to work well. I quickly scan whole books to PDF computer files, before converting them to text with OCR software, so the computer can read them using text-to-speech software. It just keeps on working as it should. This is the singularly best piece of office equipment I ever purchased. There is good reason Canon still makes this model with no apparent changes. You bet, I would buy it again. Sidebar Observation - I enjoy using this scanner with Canon's new I.R.I.S. PDF and OCR program, which works well and is well worth its comparatively low price. I have used most of the other major OCR and PDF programs, including, but not limited to, PaperPort, OmniPage, TextBridge, ABBYY OCR, Foxit PDF, Adobe Acrobat, Nitro PDF, and several others programs, and Canon's I.R.I.S. application is my current favorite. Fantastic scanner for a decent price. Tested on Windows 10 using Canon's software and on Ubuntu 20.04 using both scanimage and Canon's scangear. Only physical complaint is that the lid cannot be locked, but rubber bands work find. There is a lock switch on the bottom but this seems to only prevent it from scanning. Note that the resolutions between 600 and 4800 dpi are not accessible in the general CanoScan options, only in the Scangear view. 5 |

I am in the process of digitizing photos. I did not want to wear out my combination printer/scanner so I purchased this Canon scanner for photo duty. My printer/scanner is a Canon so the software integrates with both with no problems. One thing that is a huge benefit with the Canon software is it will automatically crop the photos when they are scanned...depending on the physical size of the photos, put as many as possible on the flatbed (there must be some space between for proper cropping) and the software will automatically crop the individual pictures. This is a huge time saver. I have already scanned close to two hundred photos and have several hundred more to go. I am confident that the LIDE300 will continue the job. There are other types of photo scanners that are more proficient but this model is by far the most economical. Scanning time is quick. By the time I get the next batch out of the album, the scan is done. 5 |

So far the scanner is easy to use. I wish it had better software but will need to purchase one... 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Epson WorkForce ES-580W Scanner is an excellent document scanner. Setup and software install was straightforward. The software is user-friendly, it allows you to name, save, and direct the pdf files. It will also automatically rotate the document 180 degrees, no matter how you feed it. I love that I can scan any document size and type; from receipts to legal format documents to newspaper clippings. The scanner is very fast, at 35 pages per minute. The scan quality is very good. The Epson WorkForce ES-580W Scanner an excellent scanner. I highly recommend. 5 |

This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ES-300WR Wireless Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. A fantastic Buy. The price was several hundred less than other fast comparable scanners. The Epson software works very good, but does take a little work to fully understand. The scanner is very fast and produces extremely good results for the speed. The included software helps to define better looking results. The setup is so easy, just go Wireless, and your all set. I can scan from any of the three computers that I have in my office. I only need One Scanner, but I know that I bought the Best One Out There. This is my First Epson Product but I am very pleased with the performance and the results. I woudl highly recommend this Scanner to Others needing a fast business scanner. 5 |

If you have a Canon Pixma Pro printer these are the cartridges to use. And B&H has the best prices around. 5 |
