Canon Powershot G10 Camera

I own several Canon digital cameras including a Powershot G10 and two older digital 35 mm SLR format types. The Powershot SX210 is unique for its size (it is very compact) coupled with its exceptional photo quality and versatility. As a writer-journalist, I never know when I might stumble on to a newsworthy event so I always have this camera with me in my briefcase or backpack. If you are looking for a small, light digital camera that takes quality photographs, search no further. 5 |

When the Speedlite 220 I used with my Canon PowerShot G10 broke, I purchased a Speedlite 270EX to replace it. I was suprised how differently the newer Speedlite 270 EX was designed. I was even more surprised at how well the 270 performs. The light spread so evenly I compare using the Speedlite 270 alone to using the old 220 with a flash bracket. Even if it moves in only along one axis, the flash bounce was an great addition to the designed. Best of all, the Speedlite 270 is just as compact as the 220, so it can be easily carried. 5 |

I replace a Canon G10 with this camera. The image quality is excelent: very good dynamic range, color and detail in a compact body. With the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 is perfect for street photography. 5 |

I use this on my Canon HF G10 video camera. It has proven itself to be very usable to stabilize video shoots with it. The size lends itself to be very controllable without the use of counter weights of other systems. Certainly the counter weight systems are useful in many if not all situations however if those systems are too cumbersome or restrictive then this is one to use. The Canon HF G10 uses a flash drive so it is not a heavy camera making it easy for this grip to handle. The single hand-grip is made of sturdy molded plastic and the attachment and pivot points are well made with a mix of chrome plated high tensile steel and high carbon steel where they count. This type of hand grip is very hard to come by as a lot of available hand grips are either part of a counter weight system or mounting system for lights, microphones, etc. In summary this is a well made, high quality single purpose accessory that deserves support from the motion and still photography community. It is easy to use and its cost is very reasonable in considering its quality. I am a firm believer in the saying that you pay for what you get. The only thing wrong about this item is that it is not always available for immediate purchase. A possible testament to its popularity? Perhaps. 5 |

I use this zoom control with a Canon HF G10 and it works perfectly. Previously I would use the infrared remote when I needed a smooth zoom. The finger slider zoom on this camera isn't the best. Now I can zoom very smoothly without worrying about running out of batteries. The manual states that you should only plug the controller in when the camera is off, but I think this is just an overcautious warning to prevent electrostatic discharge. If you plug in the controller while the camera is on, it still gets recognized immediately with the HF G10. 5 |
