This camera will just about do it all! To really take advantage of this camera, download the excellent 244 page Reference Manual available as as PDF file from the B &H website.

After my earlier review, I learned more about this excellent camera's 400-page online manual. Some reviewers have justifiably complained about how hard it is to search visually. But since it's a PDF, you can open it on your PC using the free Adobe Reader program, which has its own search field. This allows you to quickly scan the document for specific terms (as long as they match the terms used in the manual). But what about using it on-the-road? I just searched for and found the online manual through my iPhone. And when I opened it and touched one of its displayed pages, I was offered the option to load it as an iBook into the phone's library. This now enables me to search the entire PDF for anything I want, and to click on live (blue) links between its pages. That's WONDERFUL for using it on the road!

Transmitter is easy to use and fairly intuitive. But the manual needs work. I ended up downloading the manual and magnified the pdf onscreen. Tiny text. Although the manual identifies each button, it doesn't make clear why you would/wouldn't want to choose them.

Use it for everything from creating PDF files, copying directly to my printer, scanning photos in high resolution, ... Haven't yet had the opportunity to try the OCR capability but did download the software

I bought this printer about a month ago for color separations for artwork that is in illustrator or pdf files and the color is great! It is not the fastest printer but it's perfect for what we need in our office.

My 12-year-old Xerox color laser died. I decided I needed a medium-duty color laser printer for my wife's business, and we home-schooled our daughter. I followed the instructions and updated the software/firmware before using the laser. The AirPrint works fantastic, and it's faster than my old color laser printer. However, I did have a ghosting or blurry text printing issue when printing color PDF documents. It took over an hour with Brother tech support to resolve the problem, but we fixed it by changing the printer settings to AUTO mode. If you have PDF printing issues with blurry or fuzzy text, ensure your laser printer settings are in AUTO mode.

I have used this scanner, and its nearly identical predecessor DR-4010C for nearly 20 years. It is heavy duty and reliable, with no issues or problems. After closing my law office, I scanned and converted several hundred boxes of client files to PDF computer files, before shredding all the paper. This scanner easily processed everything, and more, and continues to work well. I quickly scan whole books to PDF computer files, before converting them to text with OCR software, so the computer can read them using text-to-speech software. It just keeps on working as it should. This is the singularly best piece of office equipment I ever purchased. There is good reason Canon still makes this model with no apparent changes. You bet, I would buy it again. Sidebar Observation - I enjoy using this scanner with Canon's new I.R.I.S. PDF and OCR program, which works well and is well worth its comparatively low price. I have used most of the other major OCR and PDF programs, including, but not limited to, PaperPort, OmniPage, TextBridge, ABBYY OCR, Foxit PDF, Adobe Acrobat, Nitro PDF, and several others programs, and Canon's I.R.I.S. application is my current favorite. The copier/printer hums right along! I just have to read more of the manual to know more about it.

This book is so much more helpful than the Canon manual. It has been a great help to me.
