For health reasons, I am moving away from Canon Pro cameras and L telephoto lenses. The Sony is very light weight compared to my previous equipment. The menu is complicated and requires study. Thus far I've photographed wildlife up to 400mm handheld at f/4, ISO 200 and am getting tack sharp images. This is the second Sony RX10 IV that I ordered. The first one had issues with focus. This one is a keeper. Not only is it a fun travel camera, but it is meeting my needs for near pro quality photos in good light. 5 |

I own several Canon cameras and the price on this pro camera was too good to turn down. It works great, the colors are Canon quality. I also bought the battery grip because I do lots of portraits and head shots and like where the battery grip allows me to position my hands. Very intuitive as all of the Pro line of cameras are. I highly recommend this camera if you’re a pro or a serious amateur. 5 |

I use the big Nikon pro bag for my two Nikon cameras and four lenses but the Canon Gadget Bag 100EG is the perfect grab and go bag for my Rebel and two lenses. I just grab it for everyday stuff and take it in my truck wherever I go. As usual, good price and incredibly fast service and delivery from B&H. 5 |

I use these to attach Op-Tech straps to my Canon pro cameras. (all 7 of them.) I don't like feeding the loops on the Op-Tech straps through the tiny opening on the Canon cameras designed for straps. These were just the ticket. 5 |

Required a small, secure, weatherproof case for a Canon XF100 and 2 Go Pro cameras with accessories for multi-day wilderness kayaking. The case, with divider set, provided good protection for enough equipment for 8 days of filming in less than ideal conditions. This is my 6th and smallest Pelican case - it wont be my last. 5 |

I have been using Canon equipment exclusively for 30+ years. I feel that I know their products fairly well by now. IMO, Canon's wide angle lenses have ALWAYS been their Achille's heel. Many Pro's wish they would devote more resources to improving their wide angle lenses. Having said that, I use my 20mm on my 1Ds and 5D, both full frame digitals. These cameras utilize nearly all of the lense's image circle and for that reason they really show a lense's weakness (if they have one). I have found that for really decent corner sharpness, only f/11 yields excellent results. Larger apertures produce softness, smaller apertures result in diffraction. I have run comprehensive tests on 2 copies of this lens; the results were very similar. On Canon's other cameras, which have cropping factors and use more of the lens' sweet spot, the edges of the picture are a lot better. The lens is well built (despite using lots of plastic), and the auto focus mechanism is fast and accurate. The f/2.8 aperture allows viewing and focusing in less than ideal lighting conditions.Other 3rd party lens makers also yield less than stellar performance in this focal length but I feel that Canon could bring their enormous resources to bear and produce much better wide angle lenses than they currently do. What magic do Zeiss optics possess that Canon could not duplicate if they so chose? Expertise: Semi working Pro Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Zeiss 21mm f/2.8 Distagon 5 |
