This lens really delivers. I took it paired with a Canon R5 to a State Park in Iowa where feeders are out for Hummingbirds through the summer. I was able to take photos while hand holding. The lens locked on the eyes of Hummers quickly (you don't get a lot of time with Hummers). It is a big lens but the weight has been reduced by 2 pounds or 0.91 Kilograms! Love this lens and can hardly wait for our Eagle season. The only enhancement to these photos was a reduction of noise due to the high ISO due to low light. 5 |

Got the new Canon R5 then you need this grip. 2 Batteries vs 1, when you rotate all the controls are just where you want them. I wish Canon would have built the grip on the camera like the 1Dx series, but I guess not enough people buy the grip so they didn't want to up the price of the camera. Works great, nice little holder for the battery door so you don't lose it too! This if 2 batteries install will give you lots of photos. I was at 100%, took 900 photos, lots of reviewing, menu looking (still new), and still had almost 70% on them. You can charge both batteries in the grip using the USB-C and a charger! 5 |
