Canon Remote Camera Control Application

These Remote Triggers work exactly as they should...the range is true, the function every time...they take AA batteries, so its easy to keep them powered. They pair perfectly with my Canon camera bodies and Canon flashes. I love a sturdy piece of electronics so, these suit me well. The one flaw is that the trigger control that you hold in your hand (the other control is on the camera) has a connector on the bottom for mounting to cameras, that triggers the camera to fire when the moisture of your hand makes contact with the connector...so, a lot of unintended shots are triggered if you're not careful to avoid contact or cover the connector.

Works well to control tugging on my remote for my camera.

After fiddling around trying to remote control a recent Canon mirrorless camera (set up BlueTooth and/or Wi-fi, connect to phone, activate app, etc..) the Vello FreeWave is a welcome alternative. I recently purchased the Canon R5 Mark II and wasn't sure if the BR-E1 Wireless Remote Control would work with my camera because it's a new model and was not on Canon's compatible list. I took a chance because I knew I could return the remote to B&H if it didn't work. I was also a bit leery because the directions for the remote said it only worked with single shooting. But that was not true, it also works with continuous shooting. Pairing the remote control with the camera was super easy because the R5 Mark II actually had a menu setting specifically to pair with the wireless remote control.

I like that it is orange, easy to see. I use it for my Canon EOS 60D to PC to use with backyardEOS for remote camera control while doing astrophotography. Great quality.

I am a photo hobbyist and was looking for a wired remote switch for my canon 7d camera. I wanted to be able to control the shutter for long exposures. This RC-6 Wireless Remote Control works well with my CANON XC15 Video Camera, but only for taking pictures. If you have your XC15 Camera set to Video Mode it will take a picture instead of starting a video recording. On a special note, it works from behind the camera if you are within 2 feet and have a fresh battery installed.

This is a great addition to my Canon Camera. I no longer have to depend strictly on the timer when I want to get into my own pictures. I can set everything and then causally walk into the place where I imagined myself in the picture. The when everyone is ready, I can push the button on the remote control and take the picture. I can also have the camera sitting in a spot in the room and when someone walks in push the remote control and take a picture without the person even knowing it was taken until I later show it to them. I do not know how I ever got by just using the timer alone on my camera. I will be using this remote button often.

I use this remote control with my Canon XF105 camera and it's so easy, no more messing around with touching the camera directly causing shaking of the images. It's precise and adjustable in every way I decide. It is and feels very solid and well adapted for the human hands. I installed it on the Manfrotto tripod 546B with MVH502A head. Great combination. When post-producing, the steadiness of the image increased my workflow with speed/duration because everything was shoot at a constant speed. No more feeling dizzy watching the film. Here with the Canadian winter, I don't freeze my hands anymore, I can operate the remote with mittens... I would for sure buy it again. It's not a gadget, it's a necessity!
