Canon Scanner Drivers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I thought this item was plug and play, but our office computer is a bit old so it didn`t work out that way. The Brother website was set up very well, I had little issue finding the correct drivers to get this scanner working. Our company is currently in a hiring frenzy, so there are a lot of documents to scan in and send around. This scanner would feed drivers licence and other hard plastic documents with ease, and the colors looked amazing. Additionally, it was fast and easy to feed multiple documents into the scanner. The software made editing and saving easy. The price point on this scanner is more than fair for what you can do with it. 5 |

This is an excellent scanner. I have put 2000 photo's through it and ti continues to operate flawlessly. The only setup issue I had was finding the drivers. The documentation provides the site, but its wrong. Took me 30 minutes to find and retrieve the software and rivers. FYI: the drivers and software do not come with the scanner. They must be down loaded. 5 |

It's not a high-end Nikon film scanner, but then Nikon doesn't make film scanners any more and the Plustek scanner is far less expensive than the scanners Nikon made. It's surprisingly quiet and surprisingly fast, even with the funky respooled movie films that were sold in the 1970s. (I was worried about those.) Don't bother with Silverfast, although you will have to install it or the operating systetm will grumble when the Plustek drivers load. Instead, buy VueScan Pro (search for it on the Web) and Sascha Steinhoff's books. You'll be up and running in no time. If you're running Windows 8, you'll need to visit the Plustek website and grab the new drivers. For Silverfast, you'll need to register the serial number with your e-mail address and then download a version that will work with Windows 8. Scan to TIFF and use Adobe Lightroom for any necessary post processing. I have a bunch of medium format negatives that I'd like to scan and this scanner is limited to 35mm slides and negs, but I have a flatbed scanner that should be adequate for roll film negs. If you have old slides and negatives that you'd like to be able to see again, this is the way to go. PS: Plustek lies when it claims 7200spi resolution, but you probably already knew that. All you really need for 35mm film and slides is about 2400spi and this scanner can handle that. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Canon Office Scanner !! It’s so fast and I love that you can scan up to 25 pages at a time . It’s super easy to hook up and you are ready to go . I highly recommend this scanner for anyone looking for a fast, reliable scanner. 5 |

Not much to add. The free Canon webcam drivers make for a great webcam, but need AC power for long operation. 5 |

Despite the fact the drivers for the Canon 5D mk IV are not working well, this Ronin S is a remarkable device that has upped our production value greatly. The fact is the device works great and has amazing capabilities. The learning curve and getting your rig completely tricked out is kind of challenging as well as getting all the various settings in the app where the should be is also long and detailed. It took us about a week of playing with it a few hours every day to get to point we felt confident to use it on a real project. We are realistically at 30% mastery of the device at this point but even at that it has been an excellent purchase. I do strongly recommend an external monitor mounted to the gimbal mounted on an external arm for holding it with two hands as well as a small shotgun on the arm and strap so you dont drop the rig. We are really hoping DJI and Canon can make drivers that allow 5D mk IV work with the app at same level as some other cameras as at the moment all we can do is start and stop recording. 5 |

I had a Canon scanner since 2000--but it finally died...This one, similar to the old LiDE I had, is easy to sue--but smoother and more intuitive. LOVE it! 5 |
