Canon Software For Raw

I use it in a canon R5. It works for everything except the biggest size 8k raw. It works for smaller RAW and all 4k modes. I've loved their memory card readers for decades and am glad to support this company for the future. I've been using it for 6 months of busy season prior to review. 5 |

On my 6D Mark II I shoot in RAW (of course) and JPEG for reference thumbs. With the Spyder software I notice there is no way to rotate the suggested color preset so you have to take your JPEG and crop everything else out so as to leave the Spyder color card remaining. From there you open that crop in SpyderCheckr software and everything will align perfectly. From there you save out your preset (in my case it's ACS) and then open your RAW version and apply the preset from there. I thought the colors were some 98% accurate so that's good enough for me (considering our images end up in archive anyways. 5 |

I've owned quite a few digital cameras over the years, some were cheaper and others were north of $3K, yet I am blown away by this $1,300 mirrorless miracle from Fuji. At the time of purchase I was comparing it against Sony's latest 7R. A friend of mine let me borrow the Sony for a day and while I loved the image quality, I wasn't impressed with the ergonomics and the weight and bulk of Sony's system with mounted lens. Another huge disadvantage of Sony was huuuuge files, full of annoying megapixels. I don't print human-sized posters and there was no way to have down-sampled RAW... X-T3 is a completely different animal. First of all, it almost completely removes user's dependency on software menus. All camera manufacturers employ terrible UX designers, so at least Fuji allows you to bypass the software mess and simply use physical dials for everything. Thank you. Another huge difference is that Fuji is incredibly compact when paired with Fuji lenses. They're almost always within 180-220g and it makes a huge difference. I have switched from a neck strap to a wrist strap which allows me to walk around with this dSLR handing on my wrist all day. Portability is everything. You end up taking your camera everywhere and taking more pictures. Finally, the image quality. One word: it's superb! 26MP is more than enough for (almost) everybody even if you're cropping. The dynamic range is great, I regularly recover giant amounts of detail in both shadows and highlights. ISO6400 is perfectly usable and not just for Instagram. But the most amazing part is Fuji colors. I shoot RAW and RAW files from Fuji are by far the easiest to work with: usually they require very little editing, mostly because the automatic white balance and colors are so great. Make sure to download Capture One Express for Fuji. It's free and it's amazing. Stop paying rent to Adobe. Renting software is bad for you. 5 |

Recommended for anyone taking RAW images. Photograph the portable ColorChecker and software automatically creates the perfect profile for processing your RAW photos. Automatically set white balance with the click of an eye-dropper. Provides a standard for use with any digital camera, from the past present or future. 5 |

Clarity across. I was disappointed at first until I realized that not all software reads raw images the same. ACDSee for example opens the raw image but the image is slightly blurred compared to the JPG that I thought I had a camera or lens problem. Then I used Capture One software for Sony Cameras and the images are crisp and clean and when converting from raw to JPG is excellent using Capture One. Just keep that in mind. 5 |

It is a lower aperture lens (f/4) compare to others but if you have a little experience working on the raw picture using Lightroom or other software it is no issue at all shooting in low light condition. Overall it is an awesome lens and can cover many lenses can do. 5 |

I use ON1 Photo RAW as my photography software and it is a power hog. The NVIDIA graphics card is able to handle this and other photography programs with lightening speed. 5 |

It takes sharp pics on my APS D 5300 after processing. I shoot raw and my software also corrects edge sharpness to same sharpness as in center. Worth the money! 5 |

I bought the pro version of the software from B&H about a week ago. Software installation went smoothly on my MacBook Pro/10.9.5. After reading the manual and watched a couple videos on line I was ready to use the software to calibrate my Nikon & Canon lenses. Canon 5D mark3 and Nikon D750 need user assist to run the calibration software which I was not very happy about but got used to it quickly. The only thing I had to watch for was to use a very sturdy tripod and use a very soft touch to change the setting during the test. Of course software takes some camera movement in to consideration when it displays the result. Target setup was not difficult for me and if you setup your target correctly your calibration results are repeatable. Probably the plus version would have been good enough for me. 5 |
