I use it to take picture with my Canon Sure Shot ACE camera. It has great picture quality and very easy and convenient to use. My family loves it. 5 |

Had to replace my old battery in my older Canon Sure Shot underwater point and shoot camera. The Panasonic CR123A had it working and shot a bunch of underwater reef photos with it. 5 |

Nikon doesn't currently offer many FX tele zooms (or primes for that matter) that are somewhat affordable. If you're a serious hobby photographer like me, and you tend to shoot a whole lot more below 85mm, but need a longer zoom for those occasions, this is probably the one. The price is better when Nikon bundles a discount with a DSLR body. Sure, it's f5.6 @ 300mm....but the VR will help out with that. Sure, it won't freeze action...but if you have a full frame camera like the D600, 610, 700, 750, etc, you can cheat a little since the high iso is so clean. Performance overall is good for what it is, don't expect it to compete with a $$zoom because it's not. However, it also doens't have the size or weight. I like the idea of the new Nikon 70-200mm f4 VR, but since I don't shoot a lot of tele it's hard to justify, and side from the price that lens is 11 inches long!Complements a 24-70mm or 24-120mm nicely. 5 |

IN PAST USED THE NIKON 80-400 AND WAS ABLE TO GET GOOD IMAGES QUALITY. AUTO FOCUS FOR FLYING BIRDS LAGGED. I ALSO USED THE 70-200 (CRYSTAL CLEAR) WITH A 1.7 TELE-CONVERTER...MUCH BETTER THAN THE 80-400..BUT NEEDED MORE MAGNIFICATION. THIS IS A BEAUTY OF A LENS: QUICK SHARP FOCUS EVEN WITH THE 1.4 &1.7 TELE (NIKON). DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND. ADVANCED AMATEUR. 5 |

Bought to use with Nikon D300s using an 80-400mm lens and 2x tele extender. Steady as a rock, even in the Rocky Mountain winds. Base plate takes some getting used to for attachment, but not a deal breaker. 5 |

I use this for my Canon 2x tele-extender. Perfect fit. 5 |

I've tried these tele's in the past and was not impressed. I shot multiple swim meets with this attached to the 70-200 and very impressed. Yes, you drop to 5.6, but the image quality was very good. 5 |

I purchased it to replace the cap on a tele canon lens, since the Canon cap is difficult to access with the hood mounted. The logo on the front is larger than any Canon logo - everybody thinks I switched to Nikon. 5 |
