I have the Canon SX710 that I love. Purchased the SX740 for my wife. Love the quality, super zoom and the tilt selfie LCD screen. 5 |

This is simply a superb little camera. Just when you think Canon couldn't possibly out do itself they surprise you with a nice little gem like this SD780. The camera is exceedingly small, yet if you look at the specs for the dimensions it pretty much sizes up with a few other tiny digital point and shoots. But the smooth rounded styling and lack of any protrusions make it look and feel smaller that its stats would suggest. Personally, I prefer the all black finish. And the best thing is that Canon has still managed to keep the optical viewfinder no matter how small the camera seems to get! I don't really see a big difference, however in the 12.2 megapixels as opposed to only 5mp in the older SD400 and SD30 cameras. I like to shoot at ISO 80 whenever possible and especially in black & white, but that's just me. At this speed rating the picture quality is outstanding. The only real drawback is that noise begins to show up rather quickly at around 200 ISO and pretty much goes downhill from there. If visual noise is a trade off for more pixels, I think I would rather have fewer pixels and less noise. The HD video quality is also quite remarkable although I only used it a couple of times. This is a real great pocket camera to take along wherever you go. It's picture quality and performance leave the competition in the dust that even my digital SLR stays home collecting!! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Canon Zoom Digital Monocular is so much better than expected. First, I love the small size of the camera. You can slip it into your pocket and take it anywhere. It is so lovely being able to take pictures of just about anything. Do you see something you like far away? It is not a problem with this camera. It has such an incredible zoom capability. You can take close-up pictures of sports games and nature or use it as an everyday traveling camera. It also takes video. I appreciate the Bluetooth connection to your phone. It makes image transfer so easy. With the invention of cameras on smartphones, I never thought I would want to carry a camera again, but now that I have this camera, I have completely changed my mind. My phone’s camera does not even compare to this one. It is in a whole other league. 5 |

I bought this along with a Zoom H1 Ultra-Portable Digital Audio Recorder and they work amazing together. I use them for my youtube channel where I do hidden camera pranks and so far I had no problems! 5 |

I received a free ZOOM Digital Monocular in exchange for a review. I was very impressed with the quality. It's easy to use, light and compact. It has a nice sleek feel to it and easily fits in your pocket so you can take it anywhere you go. I really like the zoom feature. It's a button you push and it has 3 different zoom depths. When you press the button it automatically zooms in and you don't have to wait, it's super cool. I love that it takes videos and pictures. It also comes with an SD card so you can download all your videos and pictures onto your computer. I would highly recommend this product to anyone in the market for a video camera/camera. 5 |

This lens is definitely pricey and heavy but well worth it!! I've owned Canon ultra-wide zoom L lenses but this beat them all. F/2.8 across the whole range is a plus! Images are terrific !! Built-in lens hood ! The one downside is a filter can not be used! Overall the best Ultra-wide zoom lens out there! 5 |

I have used ultra wide angle lenses for 40 years, beginning with Canon's 19mm. This one is head and shoulders better than anything else I have used. It is so sharp that you actually have to worry about focusing accuracy. Viewed on a 30 inch 4 megapixel computer screen and using digital zoom, the resolution and contrast appear to be comparable to normal and more modest wide angles. Even in the corners. Even wide open. My previous Canon 14 (manual focus)was much more subject to falloff of sharpness at the edges, and the corners were quite fuzzy. Distortion is minimal. I thought the old 14 was good at rectilinear rendition, but this one is so much better, you can see the difference through the viewfinder in interior pictures. Flare is much lower--strongly backlighted faces are much clearer. Chromatic aberration is much less. I was impressed with the Canon 10-22 zoom for similar reasons, but this lens is so good that a side-by-side comparison shows generally better performance than the zoom set at 14mm. Even though the image on the 14 f2.8 is 1.6 times bigger. 5 |
