I got this manual remote since my wireless remote attaches to the hot shoe, and I wasn't able to use the wireless when there's a flash attached. I find that rather than reaching for the wireless remote, I use this one instead, most recently for sunrise/sunset photos, and for manual exposures of the milky way. It gets the job done. 5 |

My immediate need for the remote was for the fireworks shows I was attending. Naturally I was in manual focus the whole time and the product worked flawlessly. I did take some test shots in autofocus. Again the remote worked admirably both outdoors with plenty of light and indoors in lower light. Not needing line-of-sight like with infrared remotes was a huge selling point for me. Setup took just a matter of seconds and it does not have to take up your hotshoe if there's already an accessory there! So far I have only used the remote on a T2i body with an EF-S 15-85 IS USM attached. 5 |
