Had the older version for 2+ years. Couldn't live without it. This one is even better if that is possible. The mount feels so thought, and I think the sound quality is even a little better. The wind jammer in this kit is much better than the off brand wind jammer I had with my other one. I would highly recommend Rode and this kit! 5 |

This is my first experience with a dead cat / wind jammer. It works very well, still waiting for a really windy day to do some real tests. Handling noise is much better! The suspension mechanism is well engineered. The only problem with this is that it looks like I am carrying a gun around. I am not wanting to scare anyone but sometimes I like recording stuff around town at night also. You could add this to the end of a pole it looks like and use as a boom suspender. 5 |

I like the audio beep when you start your car so you know it's recording without having to check it. It's practically hidden behind my rear view mirror so I can't really see it. I had to brake really hard in traffic recently, and I heard it beep immediately after, signifying the video clip being saved in case there was an accident and the clip was needed. So that feature works well. I prefer there being no screen on the camera itself (to make it smaller) and instead connecting to your phone to place the camera properly. I can't speak to longevity of the camera yet, but everything seems great so far. Video quality is good, more than adequate. You can see sample footage on YouTube, though keep in mind the original footage will be higher quality since YouTube compresses video when uploaded. 5 |
