Car Speaker Amplifier

I've had Sony players in the past. I've also used bluray players as transports. My car cd player does a good job and I've never had problems with loading or unloading through its slot load system. But when I purchased a new amplifier and speakers, I wanted to make sure I was getting the most from my cd collection. After reading a few reviews, I decided to go all in on this unit. I'm glad I did. It is the most silent transport I've ever had. It is a sturdy case, which helps avoid jars and jumps. The music that comes from it is clear and the soundstage is wide. It makes the most of the recordings and the NAD C328 amplifier, which is what one desires from a transport. 5 |

imho, you should skip the old 'receiver' and upgrade to a new Integrated Amplifier like this Yamaha unit. When shopping to replace my receiver i stumbled across an article on cnet about integrated amps. After spending a couple hours learning about these devices and finding a unit with an a/b speaker switch (for my speakers in the backyard), i selected this Yamaha unit.Never going back to a Receiver...easy to use, great sound (thd about 0.019), performs exactly as expected. great value too. Only 'con' is that it should allow for independent audio sources for each speaker set. 5 |

Even though I have experimented with stereo systems for almost 50 years, I had never bi-wired speakers until I recently purchased Bowers & Wilkins 603 floor-standing speakers. I was intrigued by their bi-wiring option that Crutchfield suggested could provide noticeable improvements in the overall transparency of your loudspeakers if I ran separate speaker wires to the low and high frequency drivers from a single amplifier. After doing some research, I discovered the Canare 4S11 bi-wire speaker cable at B&H. I don't claim to have golden ears, but I do want better sound at a reasonable price, so the Canare cables were interesting. However, I have to admit that to my eyes they looked sort of flimsy in the online picture, so I debated with myself about spending over $130 for two sets of 10-foot cables. Therefore, I was thrilled to discover that the two runs I ordered are not only substantial in diameter, they are professionally terminated with high quality banana cables that give me a tight fit into my vintage Audible Illusions S120 amplifier and my new B&Ws. While I can't tell you that the heavens opened and angelic choirs sang when I plugged them in, the speakers sound wonderful and I am now looking at upstream improvements in my system, including the RME ADA-2 DAC FS. My conclusion is that it only makes sense to bi-wire speakers if the speaker designer provides the option. So for me this was a great purchase. If you have speakers that offer the bi-wiring option, I highly recommending giving these a look. 5 |

I installed the cable between the mixer and the amplifier for speaker in oour overflow area. The previous cable was picking up the signal from a nearby radio station and adding that to the mix. This cable completely eliminated the problem and significantly reduced the level of amplification required to get a good balance. The clarity of the signal also improved noticably. 5 |

This speaker takes the best of the Get Together and adds lower range and a stronger amplifier. Simply the best looking and best sounding speaker I could ever imagine. 5 |

I literally take your speaker wherever I go. I even prefer to play it on the car opposed to the factory radio. 5 |
