Carbon Fibre Cell Phone Cases

Light, compact...and seems very well made. Carbon legs, metal leg twists and leg locks. Comes with everything you need to hold a heavy DSLR rig or a cell phone. The Cell Phone holder works great...the bracket expands and contracts with a spring so can hold mostly any size cell phone I would imagine. I am using it with an Iphone 15 pro max. Highly recommend, and what a deal if you are willing to buy the version with the blue metal...it's actually a really sharp looking piece of equipment. 5 |

I have always put my cell phones in protective cases so I’ve used many different types over the years. The Peak Design phone case fits so perfectly and feels good in the hand. The case has a slight texture to it so that it doesn’t easily slide out of my hand. And the new magnetic connection works seamlessly with the car mount and tripod mount for easily moving the phone between activities without having to remove the case. Outstanding case! 5 |

pelikan cases are the best i use them for everything from my cameras to my cell phone. any time you need to protect something, you can rest assured if it's in a pelikan case. the 1400 is the perfect size for a portable dvd burner, or dslr kit.it's a great case for small dv cameras and small dvd players. 5 |

I love carrying this wherever I go. No Backpack needed...I can attach my Carbon Fibre Tripod to the bottom. It's an everyday, essentials carry bag. Easy to get into (Yeah, I modified the straps to use Peak Design tabs, but hey! It works for both street photography and my wilderness excursions.) 5 |

This Cell Phone Mount was bought for my Wife. She watches videos on her cell phone often and I thought this was a better idea than leaning her phone against a bottle of ketchup or loaf of bread. Combining this with a tiny foldable tripod gives her a compact stand for her cell phone and she now uses it almost daily. She seems to like it and it folds up to take very little space. The mount had a slight hangup when I first tried it out but seems to work fine now. The threads in the plastic parts are actually brass inserts that are moulded in place so they will probably hold up a lot longer than plain plastic would. The plastic is well moulded and seems to be pretty good quality. In theory, the mount will stand up without a tripod, but it isn't stable. 5 |

I have 2, now 3 monopods to go with my 3 tripods. C'mon, you know photographers and videographers can never have too much gear. My other monopods are aluminum and quite good but as I'm getting older I tend to move towards the carbon fibre type. This Robus is so much better and lighter than I expected. It goes well with my Gitzo carbon fibre tripod. Honestly, I think I'm going to sell or give away my aluminum sticks to my students. It's great, it's a monopod, what else is there... 5 |

It was this or the carbon fibre model and I chose this one for the greater rigidity and carrying capacity of aluminum despite the extra weight. Very solid build and smooth movement with a Canon C100 Mk2 on a Manfrotto fluid head, and good buffering when the carriage halts. Excellent battery life. There is some slight motor noise at higher speeds but that is not an issue for me. The carrying bag is very handy. Like another reviewer I found it difficult to keep a subject in center frame in tracking mode. I also use it for sliding timelapse shots with a Canon 7D Mk2, and it works very well, despite the instructions being very poor. Fortunately there are some good YouTube tutorials that explain the procedure well. I am very happy with this and consider it excellent value for a budget slider. 5 |

I bought this to use on a Really Right Stuff carbon fibre tripod with my Hasselblad H4D-40. It works really well, coming from a 3 way tilt head I was worried that it might be hard to level a ball head but it is very easy to set just enough friction so the camera can be moved easily without danger of it flopping over. A subtle tightening then gives a very firm grip. Overall the small size, beautiful engineering and simple controls add up to a very nice unit. 5 |

Needed a fast replacement for my older aluminum pole, which needs rewiring. A few bucks more got me this carbon fibre unit, very comfortable to use, lightweight and at 7'&7 is long enough for 99% of my job needs but still small enough to pack for travel. A very fair price from B&H; very happy. 5 |

I have owned and used the 190CXPro3 carbon fibre tripod for 12 years. The first one purchased was used on month long trips to Iceland, Russia and Mongolia. It was swiped from my car in Montreal, so I bought another, that's how much I liked it! The snap leg locks will loosen up in time with usage, however a 1/4 twist with a small nut driver will tighten it up again. The snap locks can be easily taken apart and cleaned, which is what I had to do when I got sand in the mechanism while shooting in the Gobi Desert during a sand storm. BTW - these snap locks are faster and easier to use then the twistlock type leg locks, which if you don't tighten enough, can cause your tripod to sag to one side. Twistlocks can also get gummed up easily. The bubble level on the ball head mounting plate is very useful to make sure you have a level tripod for creating stitched panoramic photos. Construction is robust and durable. Make sure the locking screw on the ball head mounting plate to secure the ball head is tight, to prevent it from loosening and falling off! A carbon fibre is more expensive, but what a weight difference compared to an aluminum tripod! I use an Acratech GP ball head, which allows me to really load it up with gear. On December 28 2020, I took full moon photos with a Nikon D800 with a 200-500mm attached, and the images were tach sharp. Get the retracting spiked feet attachment, for more stability. If shooting in deep snow, sand or other loose unstable surfaces, buy the Manfrotto 230 tripod shoes (or snowshoes as I like to say) - and you will stop that sinking feeling. All items were purchased from B&H with their usual quick shipping to Canada. Don't forget a good padded bag to protect your investment. Frederic in Montreal. 5 |
