Cardboard Box Tricks Metal Gear Solid

What a handy thing to have in your box of tricks!

First thing to surprise me was the packaging, an Irix branded cardboard box, containing a metal box in which the lens, some foam inserts and a lens case were enclosed. No handle on the lens case but nice nonetheless. Quality of the lens is great, first thing I checked was focus with it locked at infinity - no issues there, I thought I may have to adjust it after reading other reviews but this lens was spot on. Heading out camping to some remote lakes in a few weeks where I will really put this lens to the test, but first impressions are favourable.

I just love my Sonos gear. I have 2 '5's', the new tv beam and the little box of tricks that connects to my Cyrus separates system. Can sometimes get a bit confusing playing different music/radio in different rooms but I'm a new learner so I'm sure I'll get there.

Perfect for carrying the beauty dish - much better than using the cardboard box. :)

Using it as a lut box. Very economic way to do this. Solid piece of gear.

We were able to get about 1,380 slides in ours - standard cardboard mounts. Good sturdy box.

I was concerned ordering a 60 pound UPS. The last one I received last year arrived in shambles. The styrofoam casing was in a thousand pieces and the LCD screen was busted. Not B&H's fault. All UPS providers have flimsy boxes. This was slightly better than before. The shipping box was torn in several places. I expected a demolished UPS. However the UPS was an indestructable solid hunk of metal. APC even had a solid metal box screwed on top of the screen to protect it. So the box didn't survive but the UPS was fine. It is a bit noisy but all online UPS's are noisy. I just put it in the adjoining room and ran a long power cable. Problem solved. The power chute software is poor. APC has never had decent software. Fortunately, I don't need it. I will find something 3rd party. Bottom line. This is a wonderful UPS, solidly built, like a tank. As always B&H is great. I ordered overnight and it was late. They refunded the shipping costs automatically. B&H is the best. They stand behind what they sell.

Works well. Made of solid metal. Photos don't show that the box includes multiple adapters for mic clips, threaded connection to a mic stand, etc. You don't need to buy any other adapters in order to use this device with most mics and stands.

The Logan slide files are made of metal, except for the cardboard inserts that separate groups of slides. These slide files are durable and well made in the USA. I bought some decades ago, which are still in use. I just bought more and they are built to last. If you care about your 35 mm slides, this is an excellent option to store and protect them.
