Carp Zoom Underwater Camera

Was what I expected from reading other reviews. Used it in an outdoor pool, only went about 5ft under. Not confident to put my primary camera in it, but was comfortable putting my D7100 and 17-55mm F2.8 lens (No hood) in. The plastic lens was not as bad as I had feared. Happy that it can fit 77mm lenses. Back of the case was clear when viewing the camera's rear screen underwater with a scuba mask. The only thing that was tough was trying to zoom the lens. Also zoom lenses that extend tend to elongate while you handle it underwater. Next time will duct tape the zoom ring in place. The D7100 seemed a tiny bit small in it, even with all 3 supplied pads in use at the bottom of the case. Will fit a FX camera like a D810. Accommodates the built-in flash quite well.

I used this for a specific assignment at a water park. I shot a Trash the Dress photo shoot with a bride of mine. I was able to go down the slides with her and her groom, stand in splashing water with them, and even do underwater kissing shots and other fun ideas with the dress under water. This item is great because of it's affordability and ease of use, as well as it's effectiveness for it's intentions. I took it under water about 4 feet, and was in and out of the water all day with it. It was easy to get to all the functions and adjust the camera, though it took a little bit to get used looking through the camera with this case in between, and manipulating the zoom function of the lens. Their are built in finger holes to fire the shutter, focus/zoom. There's not much I can really say bad about it. The lens part of the water case will allow you for various lens lengths, but the lens kind of lays loose in that tube area. I kind of wish it would attach to the front lens element, otherwise I have to make sure it's pulled up against the front of the lens to avoid vignetting. Ultimately, I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to play with underwater, or very wet, photography and their SLR.

I took shots at dark. The camera saw what I could not. It is going to be quite useful in my underwater adventures.

Use on O-rings for underwater camera housings

I shoot underwater for a living, this product is incredible. Affordable, yet outperforms many other waterhousings. Although it is not made for the RX100vii as the zoom stops at 68mm as the housing is not big enough. This is not an issue, as you would almost never use the zoom function in the water.

I purchased the lense for underwater use, as Nikon has nothing in this range! It is tack sharp at both ends of zoom ,and gives me great flexibility on a dive. I looked at the previous version of this lense for years, but this newer version with macro capability is well worth it !
