This remote is a necessity if the B1 Air strobes are to be used in High-Speed Synch mode. It should be half as much money, but that's Profoto.

The Air remote is easy to use, offers full control of you Profoto Air equipped lights.

Cons: No speed control in automatic mode.Remote must be plugged in to work.Both easy to live with....MP-101 solved my primary panning problem. Love products that work as advertised, although speed control in automatic mode would have been nice.Includes a remote control. No need to buy a separate remote. Unit will not function if remote is not plugged in.In my experience, stationary objects (buildings, trees, parked cars, etc.) are the hardest to pan smoothly, unforgiving of panning mistakes. GUI is intuitive and it was very easy to set up and get working. Remote control over RS232 and/or telnet also worked flawlessly. My only caveat is that changing between matrix switching mode (full screen output from single switchable source) and multiviewer mode is slow and certainly not seamless, but this is probably not an issue in most use cases.

This remote is tiny, but it works quite well. I use it in the mirror up mode for a lot of my shooting, and it's great to have a wireless control option without having a wireless receiver dongle on one side of your camera.

remember to make sure that the camera is in the right mode to accept the remote control. we didn't test the limits of the range, but it was a great thing to have to use for self-portraits along w/ our gorillapod and for some very long exposures. but what a great accessory for a great price!

The Air Remote goes on the hot shoe and, once firmware is updated, gives full control of the B1 lights from the camera. I like being able to control modeling flash and exposure control from the camera; obviously skipping a bunch of setting on each light. In simple parlance, the unit works exactly as it should.

This flash works great, it rotates, swivels, and covers a lot of area. I purchased this flash with the Air 1 commander, and they sync in less then 3 seconds. The flash has plenty of control capability, as well can be operated remotely, and it comes with a small stand, for impromptu remote flash photography. I am a novice photographer, but this flash makes my shots look great, by offering flash lighting control, so I dont over expose my photos, nor under exposed, and I dont have to keep repositioning the remote light source, because I can increase or decrease its flash power. I paired the flash with the Air 1 commander and on my Sony A7R ii and thus far, I have a realiable flash system that I can take anywhere.
