the battery in my ES 550 died after 7 years of use. i bought this one, replaced it and everything works again.

And not in a Star Trek way. I was looking for a single plug-in solution for my MacBook Pro. I use my laptop at my desk and on the go. I had a bunch of USB cables, power and HDMI to plug and unplug every time I had to be on the go and come back to the home office. This cleared all of that up. One USB-C to connect and it takes care of power, data and monitor. It also clears of a mess of wires on my desk.

Got this battery pack to serve me as a backup unit. I used it on my 4-day trek in the Andes. I was shooting videos quite extensively as well as taking pictures - the battery dropped to 1 bar by the end of the trek. Very pleased with this purchase.

I've had a HP550 for several years. They had replaced it once with another 550 before the battery issue was known with the unit. The replacement worked a long time then the batteries stuck, as all 550's do. They replaced it for a second time with a newer model no questions ask. The replacement is as bright and heavy as the old one. I also had a headlamp that put up with many years of abuse without problems.

I got this battery to have as a spare for the Olympus 550 WP. This is a must, especially when shooting video which runs down the battery fairly quickly. Plus, this battery is so small and slim, it's easy to fit it into the tiny pocket of the tiny camera case.
