Cast Phone To Computer Monitor

Love the computer so far but never got the monitor.

It's quite useful. Attached it to computer and monitor and it worked.

Love that I can upload to my phone directly without having to plug into the computer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Streaming from your phone through the smart things app could not be easier,just a pull down and a click and you can mirror or cast to your TV ,was a little bummed out that sansung won't let you sideload or even down load your own apps but with cast so easy from your samsung device it really didn't matter much ,I even. Threw the firestick in the drawer didn't need to mess with another remote, always have my phone in my hand anyway,and I tried this with several different samsunh phones worked flawlessly with SmartThings, S-10 5g ,Note 9 ,Note 8,S9+ even tried a J 7 just to see if older model's worked and the a10 was no different ,they did their thing with the connection simplicity.

This thing is more than I thought it could be. Great with the new 2k UDH TV. I can CAST from my PC or my phone. So easy to set up. Very intuitive to use. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I'm so not given to hyperbole. I'm loving the fact I don't need to be stuck with a service like netflack nor hulus to pay and pay. I have freedom with this wonder knob. I was so skeptical about this fob thing would do as promised. Shipping was fast and free.

While I though the price is a bit high, the product works well. I use it to cast movies from an Android phone to a TV. If you are simply mirroring your phone's screen to the TV, it does take additional bandwidth and processing, so the images can be somewhat choppy and slow. Casting from an application which has the casting function is fine and has no discernible performance degradation. I am using an internet speed of 30Mbps down and a 2.4GHz wifi

got this bc I don't have WiFi. Took a while to figure out how to get it to cast onto the TV from my Android phone (Moto g5s plus) without a WiFi connection. First, turn off WiFi setting on the phone. After Chromecast plugged in, download Google Home app on the phone to connect. During setup, when ask to connect to WiFi, turn on the phone hotspot and connect to the phone hotspot instead of WiFi. After connection complete, can uninstall Google Home app and still cast via phone hotspot. Found helpful setup videos on YouTube

My Shimbol on-camera monitor is brand new, so I’m still testing it. The cast aluminum build is really solid and feels like pro gear, surprising in this price range. The touch screen is responsive and the image is great, with many adjustment options. Also runs fine off my camera battery’s 12v tap. Monitor arrived in a “cute” case with a loop-strap, a solid shoe mount, two HDMI cables, a plastic screen protector, a polishing cloth and a manual. No power connector, though. We’ll see how long before the shine wears off. But my first impression is thumbs-up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall it is a great monitor. I use it to cast mostly things I have on my Samsung phone and tablet. Dex is great when wirelessly connecting sometimes it'll time out before it connects and same thing for when I try to mirror what's on my screen but it hardly happens and usually to second time I try it connects. Bixby works pretty good. I only use it to turn on and off the monitor. When it comes to watching shows and gaming the visuals are pretty good. It is definitely a upgrade from my insignia 4k tv. It's a great monitor to game on and have very nice solid colors. Looks good on 4k gaming. It doesn't really heat up when using it for long periods of time. I also added a Chromecast to it and it recognizes that it's chromecast and it works pretty seamlessly. Only things that I wish would be better is when I cast from the tv some videos would be a little choppy. The quality is still there but it seems like the casting/mirroring feature can't keep up at times. I do like it and hope it lasts for a long time. It only been about to weeks and no real problems.
