Cast To Samsung Tv Without Chromecast From Laptop

I use this in combination of the iOS phone and Google Home app. I have a PLEX server set up to cast movies. I also am able to cast Showtime via Google Home to watch Homeland on Chromecast Ultra. It is faster to process the movie and no lag or synchronization problems because of the ethernet cable. Recommended if you have Plex or just use Google Chrome to watch shows a lot. If you have a TV that is CEC compatible and enabled, you can launch Google Home from the iPhone and it will automatically start both Chromecast Ultra and your TV with just the app.

Easy to install. Easy to use. Ive had it for about two weeks now and so far so good. I do wish that chromecast would allow me to cast my entire desktop rather than just the chrome window. Overall, I like it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really surprised how thin the screen is. It is almost too thin and makes you hesitant to try to move it around. There almost needs to be a shipping support structure that sits on it until you have it in place and can be used if you need to move it around. The set up was relatively easy, though I was surprised it could not find my cable provider. Auto recognizing Google Chromecast made what has been a problematic experience much simpler as was auto adding the app, both for Chromecast and Amazon Fire box. I thought it would control my Samsung sound bar, but it doesn't seem to. I don't particularly care that the cable interface is through an app instead of one of the inputs like on our other Samsung TV's. I like the number of HDMI inputs. Overall good quality picture. The solar charging remote is a "Duh, why doesn't everyone do this." feature that just make sense.

I can’t live without a Roku now!! I used to do Chromecast but it would cause my screen time to rise because I would always be on my phone. I so appreciate being able to be off my phone and watching TV.

Its very useful, I use it for casting my laptop, android phone (Samsung Galaxy S8+) and Iphone 6. Very easy to use and works flawlessly. Compact size makes it easy to carry if need be. It supports 4K video over HDR and works wonders. Latency is close to non to not noticeable. Using it on my Sony Bravia 42'' LED TV and its working like magic. The ease of configuring and ability to cast screen to TV is just phenomenal. Must Buy and YES I DO RECOMMEND IT!!!!

Sony picture quality is the best! I used the HDMI ARC to connect a Sonos Soundbar. I have two rear speakers and a bass speaker. Sony makes it so easy to simply plug and play! I sold an Apple TV Box 4k since I did not want to sacrifice DOLBY ATMOS sound (requires HDMI ARC connection). With optical connection to sound bar I believe you are limited to Dolby 5.1. However, it's easy to stream via Google Chromecast. I stream XFinity/Comcast from my iPhone using Chromecast. It's pretty easy. However, I have had an annoying issue of TV freezing. I have to unplug the set and reconnect. I suspect this may be an XFinity / Chromecast App issue. I may simply get an X1 TV box to rectify this issue. Apple 4K TV Box required HDMI ARC. Therefore, you can't run Sonos / Apple 4K Box together. You can't beat Sony's picture quality! More natural skin tones and great contrast!

My son told me how he had cut cable by subscribing to HULU and getting Chromecast ultra. �I tried this setup and I love it. �Hulu is much less expensive�than cable and has everything I want in tv/movies/video. �Couple that with my smart tv and it makes perfect sense. �My iPhone is now my remote (among other things) and I was able to upgrade my Internet speed and still save money. � I would most certainly recommend this to anyone.

The Chromecast Ultra was very easy to install. Plug it in to an available HDMI port on the TV, plug the power cord into an outlet, plug an ethernet cable (not included) into block that plugs into outlet and from there to network switch (or router), and it just works. It booted up on TV, I used the app downloaded to my smartphone to complete the configuration (easy). Now I can use the cast button on many of my phone apps, or the chrome browser on my PC to send to my TV. Works great for what it is intended for.

Love this streamer , you can do it all , games, music , movies , tv. Has the fire tv, chromecast and apple tv and this one beats all when it comes to versatility . Great buy totally recommend it !
