I have optimum and in my area there is no CAT wiring or fiber wiring, so my internet is set up through COAX which in networking is the slowest wiring of the 3. So I’ve had many many problems with Optimum’s stock router/modem and Wi-Fi extenders. Being that my wife and I work from home it’s imperative that we have stable connection which we weren’t getting. Once i changed to a mesh Wi-Fi system with Netgear’s standalone modem and added some mesh Wi-Fi routers, i am getting great speeds and haven’t really had any problem since. Would definitely recommend this modem! 5 |

This is used to connect a Cat 5 Ethernet to a type-C on my Chromebook. It is delicate, but does the job. The body does get warm when in use, something I was not expecting. 5 |
