It provides very fast wifi and cable connections. I signed up for gigabit ethernet from my provider and my ethernet speed test was approximately 930 mb/s download. Wifi speed test was approximately 700 mb/s without being right next to the router. The user interface for the cell phone app is extremely easy to use. I needed to run a USB cable from my computer to another device .. but the other device was about 30 feet away and normal USB just won't work at those distances. This little device allows you to run USB over a CAT5 (or CAT5e or CAT6) cable .. over a hundred feet. It plugs into a USB jack on the computer, thru an adapter to CAT5 cable, and on the other end connects to a small powered adapter and back to USB .. Works fine. A great way to extend the reach of USB. Completely transparent to the computer and to the external device .. no software required. Just connect and use. 5 |
