We use these switches to expand lab ethernet connections. All ports are autosensing and autoMDX, so there is no need for crossover cables, or dedicating ports based on topology. Many equipment manufacturers have embraced the Tascam-pinout of DB25 audio cables. This Hosa cable is perfect for anything that uses the Tascam DA-88 style connector. I needed to run a USB cable from my computer to another device .. but the other device was about 30 feet away and normal USB just won't work at those distances. This little device allows you to run USB over a CAT5 (or CAT5e or CAT6) cable .. over a hundred feet. It plugs into a USB jack on the computer, thru an adapter to CAT5 cable, and on the other end connects to a small powered adapter and back to USB .. Works fine. A great way to extend the reach of USB. Completely transparent to the computer and to the external device .. no software required. Just connect and use. 5 |

I purchased this Table Box Cover as a solution in routing a CAT5 cable from the basement to the first floor. It worked perfectly. The device is of high quality and looks great. I'm using several of these now, and they all work great! cat5/6 cable runs from 30-100 feet. I especially like the fact that the receiver is powered through the cable and doesn't need power of its own. I also like the HDMI thru on the transmitter, which lets me have one less splitter for some of my applications. Definitely worth the price. 5 |
